I love MJ, I do. But seeing her in this the second time last week, I really don't know what she's doing there. Any the audience almost felt like they didn't get her either as act two went on. I'm just not sure she was the fit for the role was hoping for her. Not that she wasn't trying, but it just wasn't working.
Since I'm mentioning the show, it's still otherwise in great job. Anania was delightful as Magenta, and John YI was outstanding as Brad. And for a person of color, it was a delight seeing two Asians as the show's central All-American couple.
