Thank you BroadwayDoc...that's what I was trying to say might be the case. I could see Rupert allowing Orfeh to bow after him though...he seems like a nice guy. I know you love Orfeh and I won't ever deny she is talented, but in this case, it's just a matter of contracts and stuff that had me baffled as to why they changed it.

Not a problem carymetorent2. Everything in an equity production is worked out in the contract before hand. Billing, bows, dressing room, etc.
Either Rupert just gave up his bow to Orfeh or the producers went back to his agent and renegotiated a new deal with him (like he give up his bow and he will get more $ or even something as simple as a designer coming in to do his dressing room). Everything in this business is a negotiation.
That's what I thought. I knew there had to be some reason Rupert (who has one song and not that big a part) was bowing after parts much more central and bigger than his.
At the risk of being repetitious, I can't believe the broadway.com video from opening night isn't up.

So who understudies for the dogs? Is there a rotation? Do they publish which dogs are covering which show, and do all the dogs have to be there in case one can't finish the show? Do the dogs come to the stage door? Will the dogs all get to participate on the album?
Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not sure about names): There is one main dog that performs at every show, and he has two understudies. They list the main one that plays Bruiser (Chico, I think is the name), but however, the two understudies are not in the UNDERSTUDY list in the Playbill according to scans of the Playbill from another thread awhile ago...
I think that the understudies should be listed in the UNDERSTUDIES section of the Playbill.
It is the same with the other dog character in the show, except he only has one understudy since the role is not very large at all.
First preview... I'm counting on at least trying. Depends on the rush policy, and other factors in ticket availability. But if not that day, then at least sometime in the first week, for sure.

Dear Ken,
I'm in pieces. Why the cold shoulder?

Not the first preview, but I'm hopefully gonna get there at some point during previews., as long as they have rush. If not, it's gonna have to wait until summer.
Yay! Thanks for the info. I'm gonna go check it out.

and it just so happens I do paint them green. Well, if anyone should ask me why, I say: 'I think it's pretty!'"
Question though, in the cast list they have Serena, but then for Margot and Pilar there's a "/" and it also says those actresses also are in the Ensemble, are they? I just think that's weird that those two would be and Serena not.
Methinks the cast list is a bit screwed up. They have some of the understudies listed, but not others. And I wonder if there's a Enid understudy? It seems like it's a large enough role for an understudy and not a swing.
Hm...they need to fix some things. Are there understudies for Serena and Margot? I saw one for Pilar but not for them...they got some fixing up to do...
I'm curious, is the celtic sounding song played during "Ireland" part of the score or an actual song from "Celtic Moods" ????
It's the bit that plays when she plays her cd "that she bought for the store"
Anyone know?
I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)
It's part of the score -- the joke being that there are SO MANY CD's out there called "Celtic Moods," (Believe me, I work in a music store, and St. Patty's day just passed....), and that generic-Celtic sort of melody that plays in the background could really come from any of them. :)

Yeah, I figured that. Of course, I've seen the show and there's a copy of a "Celtic Moods" cd, that was the "celtic companion" for the Pure Moods cd series.
