I noticed those but was too distracted by the vintage dresses.
"I am and always will be the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes and dreamer of improbable dreams." - Doctor Who
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
Not the worst this production has done, look at the other videos. Very few schools can pull off shows like Rent or Les Mis. The director needs to choose a show around what talent the school has. If you don't have two great tenors, you can't do Rent. If you have one amazing performer and a bunch of mediocre people, you choose a show that features the best performer the most and everybody else the least. Sometimes, I feel like directors say "Oh, we can do Rent?! I loved that show! I think I'll have fun directing it."
Ok, I'd just like to say, no offense to any French Woodies here, but words cannot describe how much I hate French Woods. Of course, I'm biased towards my own Performing Arts Camp, but I have just heard horror stories from French Woods about how competitive things get...
Oh wow. I've complained about working on 10 am rehearsals for HSM before, but at least the cast didn't sound as off pitch as that one.
And I have to say that the choreography is ingenious.

The rest of their videos are winners too. Their Troy and Gabriella aren't too bad though. They seem to be the only people in the cast with an inkling of pitch.
"I'll show you a laughgasm. I'll gasm all over this stage!"
"Interesting choice"

Their "Getcha Head in the Game" is just giggle inducing.
Thank goodness for that small smidgen of talent.
But holy crap, though, this production is like a bad parody of High School Musical. case in point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqTPSf3igys At least they're having fun, right?

wow.... the choregraphy for the HSM vids... hilarious! oh man... i just love watching it... it's like the director and choregrapher added movement to EVERY damn note, lyric, beat, whatever... it goes from random to literal!
Edit: It's not necessarily bad. Or great. But I just found my high school on youtube. I believe this was the year after I graduated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1C3jrkmL8M

Chamberlayne is to High School Musical like Blacklick Valley is to Les Miserables.

What boggles my mind about the High School Musical videos is that they can't afford to find someone half way decent to teach the kids how to sing, or act or even rummage up a decent set, but they can afford to have the performance professionally filmed. What am I missing? Why would they not spend that money on the production instead?
"There's nothing good on. The media hates Christmas. The media loves vampires, though. Maybe they will show a Twilight Christmas." -Danmeg's 10 year old son.
I don't know if this was posted before, but couldn't they have used a karaoke track at least? Delivering their lines along with the soundtrack makes them sound like zombies! Not to mention the Spanish inspired hairdos (tango?!)
You must think I'm still sixteen.
I dropped out of high school for a reason.
And I don't care if you're pretty. I'm not admitting you are right.
My soul is not a stage.
I won't pretend I'm anything I'm not
