I think I just found a goldmine... It's not a high school production, but I'm pretty sure it's a high schooler singing some broadway stuff... Wow, just wow. My favorites are probably Poor Unfortunate Souls and One Song Glory. Literally no words can describe it.

Honestly? How cruel to say about a teenager girl. She is extremely talented for such a young age, and very beautiful! You are pathetic, and probably don't have a voice like hers.

Shame on the costumer though. I don't think the girl feels any more comfortable in that costume. The costumer should have thought of something to better suit her. Even though her voice is good, it's hard not to be distracted by her figure.

The high school I attend performed Fiddler on the Roof this weekend. I know it is illegal for audience members to film the show. Someone did on Friday night, so I talked to the director, who added a pre-show announcement last night.
However, our SM and crew members filmed several scenes from the wings last night. They claim that they are allowed to film their own production and post the videos on facebook/youtube, but I am pretty sure it is not allowed. Who is correct: me or them?

From the looks of it, though...there was no costumer...probably done by the cast themselves and instructed to wear "dance clothes".

She did sound beautiful, and acted the part well.

I was part of this production, im playing bobby and you can see me in the back.

I'm very proud of the work we did with that show and think that the girl in question was a great Sheila.

In terms of costumes our company ordered our costumes for us to try and match the iconic styles of the show. It was our job to provide the production team our sizes and were given the costumes with definite time to order something else should a piece of clothing not work. The show ranged in ages from 15-19 with two 14 year olds as well. Many of these kids are incredibly accomplished already and it was a great joy to work with all of them. I'm sorry, but it pisses me off to no end when others are like "OMG, THERE SHOULDNT EVEN BE THESE VIDEOS, ITS ILLEGAL". Everything has to go through licensing companies these days. Changing literally one word, what have you. Does it really affect the licensing company or authors integrity of a clip of a performance is on YouTube? No. Those videos are there for a reason: they showcase performers, and for performers who are unfamiliar with their material, it's a good guide. It's nothing more than educational, really.

Just because you disagree with it, doesn't make it legal. Part of the contract that is signed states that you do not have permission to make video/dvds. Period. Many agreements allow you to make ONE for the school archives....but not for duplication or publication.

Thought this was worth resurrecting the thread - it claims it's clips of a high school production of The Wiz, but the content makes it completely unrecognizable (namely the BRITNEY SPEARS MEGAMIX). Yeesh.

Well at least in the Endless Night video he is trying to put some acting into the performance. Although he should never try to sing that song again that was just horrid. My ears bled and I almost had a heart attack trying to get through the whole video.
