Changed my mind about performace of the night. I like Promises, Promises better than Memphis. I like the show though.

That beginning dancing in Promises, Promises was not good. It looked like they had to push out stool.

I don't remember what song it happened in, but there is shirt ripping/lots of shirtless dancing in Act Two, it wasn't just shameless shirt ripping.

Agree, at least some up-to-level performances to watch.

The show is fabulous! Sean is doing a great job and moving the show along at a pretty reasonable pace. One of the bettet shows that I have seen and I am a babyboomer so I have seen quite alot of them. Live television is live and the mistakes are what make it authentic and original.

Some posting here are seemingly auditioning to be critics of the theater or wannabe directors and are only posting what they imagine.

I think that I have a more accurate viewpoint for I have lived long enough to see great shows and bad shows and this one is really good because it is not getting bogged down at all.

You Go Sean! Just love his piano playing (he was a piano major in college) and his comedic timing is flawless!

How BORING to have Sean Hayes just sit there. It makes it appear as if they're trying to include him in another number of a show he's not in, rather than telling viewers "Hey! This actor that you recognize is in a Broadway show! Come see a famous face live in person!"

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
--Aristotle
