Ugh Denzel. Should have gone to Alfred Molina.
Paula Abdul giving out the Tony for Best Choreography. Bob Fosse is turning over in his grave.
Hmm... I'm really reserved about the open-shirt move.
she was a choreographer back in the day.
Shirt ripping really?
you know Frank ripped his shirt open during My Way.
Shirt-ripping to Sinatra's "That's Life" no less.
Changed my mind about performace of the night. I like Promises, Promises better than Memphis. I like the show though.

That beginning dancing in Promises, Promises was not good. It looked like they had to push out stool.
How yawn inducing was Promises x2's performance?
And the lights were out on Paula. Not the first nor the last....
Okay, Promises Promises makes me stares the TV. Not that is a "wow" performance, but at least, that's what suppose to be.
Gotta admit- Paula looked great!
I don't remember what song it happened in, but there is shirt ripping/lots of shirtless dancing in Act Two, it wasn't just shameless shirt ripping.
I'm sorry, but I really liked the dance from "Promises Promises".
I did, too, fashionguru_23.

i enjoyed Come Fly Away and Promises, Promises more than most of what came before tonight.
Is Bill T. Jones's partner a munk?

Agree, at least some up-to-level performances to watch.

The show is fabulous! Sean is doing a great job and moving the show along at a pretty reasonable pace. One of the bettet shows that I have seen and I am a babyboomer so I have seen quite alot of them. Live television is live and the mistakes are what make it authentic and original.
Some posting here are seemingly auditioning to be critics of the theater or wannabe directors and are only posting what they imagine.
I think that I have a more accurate viewpoint for I have lived long enough to see great shows and bad shows and this one is really good because it is not getting bogged down at all.
You Go Sean! Just love his piano playing (he was a piano major in college) and his comedic timing is flawless!
hare krishna?
How BORING to have Sean Hayes just sit there. It makes it appear as if they're trying to include him in another number of a show he's not in, rather than telling viewers "Hey! This actor that you recognize is in a Broadway show! Come see a famous face live in person!"
