I actually thought they did pretty well, particularly Matt Morrison. The crowd, though, didn't seem very enthusiastic.

And wow, the Weisslers haven't won in a while...

What song did the cast of Memphis sing for their performance? I really liked it.
Would I rather be feared or loved? Um, easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.- Michael Scott, The Office

Still doesn't make her "brave". It's a job. A well paid one at that.

American Idiot is seizure inducing because of all the flashing lights. It is actually bothering me.

It was kind of "cold" that Sonia Friedman wasn't even given the "hurry up music" to finish up her speech. Instead, that American Idiot guy was introduced. from RC in Austin, Texas
P.S. Raquel Welch? to introduce the best musical revival winner? What's up with that?
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

It's a shame that so many of you won't give AI a chance, its a great show with brilliant music, amazing performances and a superb set and lighting design

Is anyone else annoyed that the Tony Awards broadcast gave an insane amount of time to Scarlett Johannsen's rambling acceptance speech, but cut off La Cage's acceptance speech immediately? It seems like more proof that the Tonys cares more about celebrities than the awards.

I gave it a chance. Didn't love it (Didn't hate it, either). SO prefer to listen to the original CD. (Although to be fair, the entire cast sounded better live than on the recording.)
