I am here... I wish they did Young Frankenstein instead of this. lol
How the heck did Jayne Eastwood get sucked into this? (She's playing the Butler in the Tim Curry scenes).
I can see (or hear) why Laverne Cox said no to playing Hedwig.
30 minutes in and I've already decided to download and watch the original again... Rocky Horror is great with audience participation, but trying to capture that on tv isn't working. Also, Brad's favorite pizza topping is pepperoni :/
Hey Laverne. Hey. Where'd all that blood come from? Adam Lambert didn't have any blood on him. So where'd it come from?
I am surprised by the A Bronx Tale plug in the ads.
I think the reviewers are being overly kind to Laverne for fear of being viewed as transphobic. I think she's atrocious. Her singing voice is odd too. Her costumes are terrible.
Annaleigh is great. Shame she has so little to do.
They pulled the spine out of the piece. It's so boring and overproduced.
The silence in response to this everywhere is deafening.
Laverne is having fun camping it up but the production is such an awkward snooze

Fvck it. I'm having a good time with it. It's been fun, and I've been entertained. It won't replace the the original, but it isn't a travesty that I regret watching.
"You're gonna kill her?"
So they're just confirming that Laverne as Frank is a sham? The whole song about being a 'Sweet Transvestite' is a lie.
Yeah, this is by far the worst of the TV musicals so far. It's miscast, overproduced and sanitized as all get out resulting in a HUGE misfire for FOX. Tim Curry was the only element of this mess that I actually liked. He did a fine job in comparison to everyone else.

I loved the Cyndi Lauper homage Annaleigh put on as Columbia. She was the clear standout, from a completely unbiased perspective. I was entertained but I'm not delusional. It was off. However, the problem with me stood with the choreography, and Ryan McCartan, sadly. He was just so...big. I don't think he understood what Brad needs to be. He was great from Rose Tint on, though, but maybe I'm thinking that because him in lingerie kissing Staz Nair aroused me quite a bit. I also wasn't a fan of Reeve Carney's performance - if you're going to do an accent, stick with it while singing. He felt disconnected, and he made me wish they gave Riff Raff's role over to Christina Milian as Magenta, who, for whatever reason, was diminished so far to her vocals for Toucha not even being included on the soundtrack. She did so much with the very little they gave Magenta, it shocked me that she almost seemed undervalued. I loved Victoria Justice, and the minimal times I found myself laughing were almost exclusively because of her, although she wa very wooden until she got into the castle. Forced camp was the issue there, I'd assume.
I thought Ivy Levin was the best as the usherette -- and surprised how much I liked Victoria Justice's voice

I get annoyed when we as Americans onplain when an actor plays a role woth an accent and it lessens when he is singing. That is actually accurate and proper. Using your instrument well lessens an accent while singing. Listen to an Adele album and then listen to an interview.
Thank you FOX for raping, killing, burying, p!ssing on the grave, digging back up and then raping again the corpse of a classic.

I recorded and have not yet watched - but could this really be worse than the Matthew Broderick "The Music Man"?
Tonight made a good case for never doing another musical on TV ever again. It's amazing how this came off even cheaper and more hideous than even the people who knew it would be atrocious, thought it would be.
It's not great, maybe not even very good....and I found it lost steam as it went on, but it wasn't gawd awful.
Frankly I'm ready to turn it off (I'm on the west coast) simply because of Rocky's awful baggy boxers. That is NOT what Rocky is supposed to wear.
I'm going to a theater at midnight Saturday that has a live cast. Have to erase this from my brain.

West Coast watching. Unbearable - except for Annaleigh. Yes, it's worse than Broderick's Music Man.

This was so so so so so so bad.
I didn't hate it but it felt completely unnecessary. Couldn't they have just shown the actual movie? This version couldn't decide if it wanted to be a tribute to the movie or a reimagination. It tried to be both and failed. I thought the cast was mostly fine though. Had this cast performed live on stage on Broadway or elsewhere it might have been enjoyable but on film it was joyless.

Staz had a lot in those boxers, and it showed. I appreciated the costume change.
