Okay so I am madly in love with Wicked. As I know how many others are... (I also know there are those who HATE Wicked but that is not this thread....)

I have found some versions of songs on other people's cds...
Lee Lessack and Stephen Schwartz "For Good"
Debbie Gravitte "Defying Gravity"
Julie Budd "Defying Gravity" (it is painful to listen to btw)

and

Mary Haskall (with patricia heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond) doing "For Good"

HAVE i MISSED ANY OTHERS?

I really would like to find other copies of artists doing songs from the show? Any body have any other artists?

Lea Salonga and is it it Jennifer Paz?...did a rendition of For Good on Paz's CD...I don't have the exact link though. And there is a clip floating around of Lea Salonga singing Defying Gravity.
Patricia Heaton singing For Good? I think I just threw up in my mouth. A lot!
It's not on a CD, but Raul Esparza sang Defying Gravity on Seth's Chatterbox.
Patrica Heaton sings? Has anyone heard her? If she can sing, I would like to see her on stage. That woman cracks me up.

		     			PAZ is it available?

I wish his was on cd. I would buy that.

And I have to say that the one with patricia heaton is actually not so bad. Her voice is actually pretty. The cd from which it comes is not so good but that version is kind-a pretty actually....

Jennifer Paz and Lea Salonga did a duet of "For Good" in Jennifer's album "Awakening." It is now available online. Click on link below. There are samplers of the songs including the duet in this link:

In addition to "Defying Gravity," Lea also sang "Popular" in her Carnegie Hall concert. No recording of the concert is available.

There is a clip floating around of Defying Gravity, though.
Karen Mack and Anne-Marie Milazzo do 'For Good' on a Stephen S CD I have, the exact title of which is currently escaping me.

Leslie Henstock, currently 'Cosette' in the "Les Miz" tour, sings "Defying Gravity" on her CD, of the same name.

go to youtube.com and you can see the Lea clip. She's actually pretty good at it.
Leslie's "Defying Gravity" is fantastic. She just...sings it. No riffing, no vocal acrobatics. It's really nice.

Would that be The Stephen Schwartz Collection with demos from Pippen and Children of Eden? Because I just got my hands on that cd yesterday and it's on there.

Over on this side of the Atlantic there is a solo release by Nikki Gerrard "This Time Round" which features her singing "The Wizard and I".

I am in two minds about it. She can certainly belt and its very much a british musical theatre sound on the song. The rest of the track listing includes "Come to Your Senses" "You Dont Know This Man" "Life of the Party" and "None But You"

oh and she has a website too with clips! You can find it on the DC site.

Its technically by a Wicked artist but theres an audio of Idina singing a song called 'Making Good', which was cut and replaced with 'The Wizard and I'.
Gingersnap, that sounds about right!
Is there anywhere I can hear a clip of Patrica Heaton singing For Good?

I don't know if this counts, but Kristin Chenoweth did a solo version of "For Good" at times.

Elphie30 - I know all of this is completely subjective but I thought that Tres Hanley did a really nice job with For Good and I'm not sure if you've heard the rest of her album but it's really quite impressive. I'm surprised we haven't seen more from her as of yet.

I don't know if you'd count this or not since she's IN the show right now, but Julia Murney has "I'm Not That Girl" on her album.
On SJB's cd, even though she is a wicked alum, she sings "Making Good," which was later replaced by "The Wizard and I."
It's already been posted but I just had to ass, Julia Murney's rendition of I'm Not That Girl is absolutely beautiful.
Yes. Making Good is with Idina and Michelle Federer, and it was what was replaced by the Wizard and I. But it is so wonderful, and it is so much fun to listen to.
