"I always knew, if figuring it out when I was six years old counts. I never had a backup plan, although I do love to teach, so that remains a possibility for me. I would never not work in the arts in some capacity, though."
I'm pretty much in the same boat. I've always been an attention-whore, to put it bluntly, but then I got the lead in our 5th grade play and I was hooked. Since then there has never been another thing I could picture myself doing. I'm 20 and don't go to school, but people keep telling me I should so I have something to fall back on incase professional theatre doesn't work out (btw, that "it's not steady work" thing is such bs - NOTHING is ever steady and it depends on how you handle your money)... but I can't picture myself doing anything else, and people just don't seem to get that. But I'm glad you know what I'm talking about, Anthony. It definitely gives me hope that I can be just as sucessful as you have been. :)

OK- So I realize I am a little late coming into this thread, but I have been reading it and am just now finding the time to actually post.
Just have to tell you a little story about a while back when my friend and I were having dinner at a small Italian restuarant in Mid-town before the opening of Alice's Downunder, okay so this was a LONG time ago, but still we saw you at the restuarant but we were too shy and didn't want to bother you to come say hi, so I will say it now, HI and welcome to the board.
I saw it and was impressed with the energy and spirit of the cast, and happy to see a show about such an important issue.
I am really happy to hear that you saw Bare, I only had the chance to see it once, but it has changed my life since, hooks or not. In regards to your last post, I am curious to get your opinion on whether or not you think Bare is anything like Rent. This has been a long standing issue that people have disagreed on, but I know the show has been critized a bit for it. It did envoke some of the same thoughts and feeling that Rent does for me, but I have mixed emotions when people say that it is trying to be the new Rent or critize it for being TOO much like Rent. (not that it really matters now, but still just wondering?)
Sad to hear that you will only be in LSOH until Dec. I was really hoping to get to see you in it, when it came to Detroit in March.

I second APG's BARE questions. Unfortunately, I never got to see the show, but I do love the recording and I was very sad when it was postponed indefinitely. I'd love to see the show, and I hope Michael (and John) can be involved. I think it is an important story that needs to be told. I also would like to know your opinion about the ties people are making to RENT though.
And yes, we do all love blooper stories.
Why do we play with fire?
Why do we run our fingers through the flame?
Why do we leave our hands on the stove, although we know we're in for some pain?

Aww anthony, i wish you would stay in the tour at least till Chicago .

Nothing makes me laugh like Avenue Q does. I love it, really cheers me up when I need it.
Hello to all the CBers who joined and started posting on this thread, too.
And if you missed it before, I still want to know about those Oreos.
What has been your favorite role to date, and did you ever expect Rent to go as far as it did? Also, what happened to your original Rent costumes?

Ways to annoy people:
Arrive at a meeting late, say you're sorry, but you didn't have time for lunch, and you're going to be nibbling during the meeting. Then eat raw potatoes.
Ask people what gender they are,or
Disagree strongly with everything anybody says:)
