I'm late as always... But on the subject of new converts, two of my friends saw it because I kept ranting and telling them they had to, and the absolutely adored it. :) And I know they weren't just faking for my sake, because they actually went without me. And one of them is working on memorizing all the songs. Oh, and she also said this:
"I'm trying to learn La Vie Boheme, but that's gonna take awhile. I love Mark, though! Anthony Rapp was so perfect. He made that movie for me. I don't think I would have liked it if there had been any other Mark."
This from the girl who knew nothing about him except she liked to tease me whenever I brought him up. :)

Some of the Rent cast where on TV One Access on the TV Guide Channel just a few minutes ago.
Rosario interviewed Adam and sang "they say that I have the best a** below 14th street, is it true?" and he said "yes, it's true guys, she does have a great a**" then she asked how many minutes are in a year and he laughed and said "oh, I get it, like the song right?" surely that was sarcastic... haha
Then Anthony asked Taye a couple questions about Idina (the fact he had a girlfriend when he fell for her) and asked if Taye remembered running around the theatre naked when he found out he had the part in "How Stella..." and Taye said "I do remember... I saw you peeking" I couldn't make out what Anthony said, it was kinda mumbled. I got a good laugh out of it.
Thank God for TiVo, I was able to record it. I wish I had the ability to put it online for you guys, sorry about that.
But I literally just finished watching it and had to get on here and share. It was fun.
Gah, I always miss the good interviews on TV. :-P The Anthony/Taye bit had me laughing quite a bit. Thanks for sharing.
Oh and hey everyone, I've been M.I.A. for a while and I probably will be again soon as work has been keeping me at the theatre more then at home (with my laptop) so alas, I can't keep up with the constant updates of this thread. But I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a good weekend (and for those of us still in school, a happy vacation) in this rare moment of relaxation (at 1:30AM, go figure).
Well goodnight all, love you lots! <3
Oh my...that's hilarious! Man, I always miss interviews...
And, hello Dreamcatcher! And, well, good morning now!
This thread was about to move to page 2, and I'm procrastinating as I have so much homework and more college app essays. So hi! Yay new converts! I have had people I don't even know coming up to me and telling me it was amazing. The most random people ever, too. One punky guy who always has a mohawk or some brightly colored hair, one preppy girl who wears too tight Abercrombie & Fitch clothes, and one ditzy blonde who's in the environmental group with me were the last 3. So wonderful.

Hey, people. *is tired* Just thought I'd pop in and say hello... because, once again, I'm procrastinating! XD This site is such a great time-killer...
Oh, and on the subject of new converts, about 75% of the people who saw the movie first liked Mark the most.
HEYYY!!!
I am finally home!! Home feels so good. But two of my best friends are fighting and I feel like I have to choose sides. Or at least they're expecting me to choose sides. Argh.
But Glee Club concert tomorrow night and that means I get to sing on stage during the Hallelujah Chorus with the other alumni. I'm excited!!!
Hope all is well with everyone!!
keep smiling,
bika

So, a bunch of my random family members are here, and they were looking at pictures or something on my computer. And, I have some Anthony wallpaper up, and my uncle was like "Who's that gay guy?!" And I said "Excuse me, he's bisexual." just to be an ass, and then we got in an argument. It was fun.

*starts slow clap for Mandi* I love doing stuff like that to my family.
My family is very strange as well. I saw Rent with my mom last night for the third time, and every time there was even a mention of drugs or alcohol, she'd say, "oy vey."
Oy vey. XD

Hee to the Oy Vey. That reminded me of a moment I had with my father right before the movie came out.
Dad: I think I might want to see that.
Me: You know it's a musical, right?
Dad: Yeah, but I thought Chicago was ok, so how different could this be?
Me: Depends. What do you think RENT is about?
Dad: Well, based on the commercial, I'd say a group of friends trying to find an apartment in New York City . . . why?
LOL!
Yes, commercials can be very misleading. A friend of mine thought it was about eight people putting on a show. Meh.
