Okay people let's not have an embolism over some pants. We'll see what they do with that.

I just finished reading through this whole thread...wow! Anyway, a few things:
1) I first heard of you when I was stage managing a show called Etta Jenks. It was done by a group called Neurotic Young Urbanites, all friends from NYU who came to the west coast and put together this theater company. It was right around the time that RENT first came out and I remember a few of the actors mentioning that they went to NYU with you and then they turned me on to the RENT soundtrack. I've been a fan of the show ever since, actually ushered it in L.A. when Daphne performed her role as Mimi. I am very excited to know that it's being made into a movie!
2) I actually used to work on Ellen's show so that's cool to hear you'd love to do her show! I started out interning and then PA'd for a while - but then one of the producers left and took me with her to Vegas to associate produce another talk show so I couldn't turn down that bump in status! Still keep in touch with some people over at Ellen's though. Now I've been mostly working in casting...such a crazy life we chose going from one thing to another. Would definitely go back to Ellen if I got the chance though, she's great!
3) Just an overall thanks for taking the time to post here. Any chance of seeing rehearsal pictures? Not necessarily on set, but maybe even just of the cast hanging out or something? PS- I have another question that I will PM you, hopefully you can get to it whenever you have a chance. Thanks!!
Wow. It takes awhile to get through this thread some of which is totally random stuff, and welcome. Have fun.

Man, Anthony, you're flipping amazing... that's probably been said about a million times on this thread, but it had to be said at least once more. When is filming beginning and tentative release supposed to be? I am almost positive that has already been asked... so someone else could answer it if they felt so compelled.
I believe filming is supposed to start in March? and come out around Christmas time. Don't know if I remembered that correctly. Okay back to college essay writing ugh!

Hey Anthony Once again, thank you so much for taking the time to post here, we love reading your updates I actually do have a random question about the recording although it might be too early to ask: Will Adam be playing the guitar solos for "Musetta's Walz" and "Your Eyes" on the film soundtrack? Actually, while that's up, did he do them on the OBCR or was that Kenny Brescia?
Welcome Popular! Yeah it took me about an hour to vaguely scan the whole thread. I think every topic under the sun has been gone over plus more! Anyways, that would be pretty awsome if Adam Pascal did the Guitar solos. I've been trying, and failing, to learn for a while. That was really him playing in the OBC production right? If so, hes really good at it!

I agree Dream. I think we have discussed almost every topic imaginable.

Haha well even if we have Racetrack, it's a very entertaining read. I almost fell off my chair laughing at some points. (I was on the phone at the time and I started laughing and choked on an ice cube and was gagging and my friend thought I was having some kind of spaz attack. :-P) You guys skipped around to the most random subjects ever, but it was great to read!

popular, welcome. You reminded me that Anthony did attend NYU for a short time, I had forgotten that. Idina got her BFA from Tisch, and Jesse L. Martin got his MFA there, too. Several castmembers through the years have also attended, probably more than for any other college. I only find this interesting because I go there. :) And those of you working on college essays, aren't you a little late?!
I just wondered if there are already plans of bringing the movie to Europe and if so, which company will distribute it? Even though RENT has not been such a success over here as it has been in the US, there's hardcore fans here as well who'd really love to give the movie the welcome it deserves (red carpet ob Leicester Square!) - so we're ready to annoy the hell out of whoever may be responsible for the European market to make sure we get a proper opening night Plus, will there be any foreign-language versions of the movie? When "Phantom" opened here in Germany, the songs were sung in German which was, quite franky, terrible, and I just couldn't imagine a RENT movie dubbed in German, especially because the show itself didn't really do well over here...
I'll refrain from gushing because Im sure you have had enough of that. I was reading the first Chbosky draft, and there is a really powerful and beautiful monologue that Steve says at the Life Support meeting and I was wondering if it is still in the movie, and if Steve's character is as developped as it is in this draft.
Yeah I read that monologue too and it sounds really moving. I can't wait to see the Life Support meeting scenes in general. It sounds like they are being played up a little more then in the broadway production. I hope so, because even though Steve only had a small part he was a really touching character that I hope we get to see more of in the movie.

Erin the most of the ones I'm applying to are near where I live and the turn in dates aren't passed. Ugh college esssys. Okay no more of that stuff here.
Yes Dream it can be quite an amusing read at times.
Anyways everyone have a nice and hopefully relaxing day.

Not trying to be a bitch or anything, but could we please keep the threadjacking to a minimum? It's just going to make it harder for Anthony to sort through all these pages of silliness for the questions.

I'm very glad to hear that things for the film are going amazingly. I just found this website this morning, and I'm new to the whole thing. I read over all of what has been said since Anthony started, and it was a very interesting read. I'm excited that they're making Rent into a movie, and using most of the OBC, and especially excited that Anthony will be in the film. I'm not exactly sure what to say from this point on, so I'll just leave it at a simple, but not embarrassing gush. Anthony, just so you know, I think you're an amazing performer. I think that it shows great dedication to your fans for you to come on here and induldge us in our inquisitiveness...if that's a word. Thank you for giving up your time to us, both online and in the acting world. There, I think that's about all of the gush I can muster at this point. Thanks again, Kristin
