All I was saying is that when they don't send a playbill, they ask for a donation. Violet nor The Last Ship did either. I just thought it was odd is all. I'm very grateful that stage management even takes the time to fulfill fan mail requests, on top of their already long list of things to attend to. Whenever I write to a stage manager I make sure to thank them for their time and praise them for everything they do for a production.
My point was that there is a good possibility that since you are sending them old stuff to get signed, in addition to wanting a signed playbill from the new show, that they see the stuff you sent them to get signed was for a specific actor, put it in his tray, they grab it, sign it, and pop it back into the SASE, and that's the end of it. They may have no clue there are multiple requests in the one letter.
So, the stage manager reads enough of the letter to put it in Fred's basket, Fred gets two things to sign and a SASE. He signs them, put them into the SASE, and puts it in the outgoing mail tray. That seems pretty plausible without it being related to BC/EFA or anything.
Just got a response from "You Can't Take It With You"! Also Annaleigh signed my Dogfight playbill and flyer. She also signed a few photos. Kristine signed my Vanya playbill and a photo. So happy I got this back! It took about a month.
Lol. I made a joke today that the post office must dread me coming because it takes 15 - 20 minutes to get everything ready to send (I address everything beforehand).
I got a responce from Keala Settle today! She signed a few photos, my La Jolla Side Show program, my Hands on a Hardbody CD cover, and a cast signed Les Mis Gay Pride playbill! :)
Has anyone sent a cast signed playbill request to It's Only A Play? Did you receive a response?
"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage." Got a cast signed playbill from Gentleman's Guide yesterday! It's from November so it has the new cast members! Also Carole Shelly signed my Wicked CD cover! It took exactly 2 weeks :)
I got a signed playbill from Pippin today. I sent it back in September so figured I just wouldn't be getting one so it was a pleasant surprise. It's from October so is with KDM and Carly . I guess it took almost 3 months
