Has anyone sent to Bette Midler since she has been in Hello, Dolly? Today I am sending letters to Glenn Close and Ethan Slater.

Heard back from the Anastasia stage manager today. They're requesting donations for a cast signed playbill, however, they don't specify how much, so I would assume anywhere from $10-20 would suffice.

Has anybody sent a large donation check and requested a window card?

Does anyone know if this is the case if you're including the item to be signed as well, or only if you're requesting, for example, a Playbill signed by Ben that you aren't providing? I'm hoping to send LOB cards to Ben, Rachel and Pasek+Paul. Thanks!"
I sent back in January, and sent the Playbill along (to the stage manager). They sent it back in the SASE I included, unsigned, with a note asking for a donation. I imagine the same thing would happen if something else was sent.

So I am new to all of this but I would really like to start my Playbill collection as I really love musicals. Currently Brendon Urie is Charlie in Kinky Boots and I was wondering if it is a dumb idea for me to send him a letter and request a signed Playbill. Or, should I just send one to the stage manager and be happy with what I get? I'm well aware of making sure I send a self addressed stamped envelope. If anyone has an opinion please let me know, thank you!

It's now been raised to $75 for a cast signed playbill per the note I received in my empty returned envelope.

Hi all!
Just received my "Hello, Dolly!" cast signed Playbill back. It took only 7 business days from day sent to day returned. :) Per he info in the thread, I sent a $50 check addressed to BC/EFA, as well as a SASE, to the Stage Manager of the Shubert.
Attached is an image of the Playbill, should anyone be curious as to who signed it (I believe the entire cast did) and where. Best $50 spent, and for such a worthy cause. :)
Thanks!

Hi all!
I am hoping someone may be able to help me out by answering a couple questions. :)
1. I sent out a Playbill request with a SASE, sans donation, to "The Price", "Waitress", and "Oslo" back in March, and haven't heard back yet. I was curious if anyone has had success with them?
2. Does anyone know if and how much these shows are asking for Playbills?
1984
Anastasia
Bandstand
Groundhog Day
Indecent
The Little Foxes
Oslo
The Play That Goes Wrong
Present Laughter
Six Degrees of Separation
Waitress
War Paint
Thank you! :)
Best,
Alek

Recently, fellow Lights of Broadway group members/Lightcatchers have received responses from Ms. Altomare and Mr. Miranda.

I am also hoping that someone might know if I could send a window card to have signed. In this case, I'm thinking about Hello, Dolly!. I have no idea what the donation should be for that? $100 or more?

I posted this in the revival thread a few weeks back, but seeing that this popped up today:
I sent Glenn Close a letter c/o the Palace Theater before seeing the show in May. A few weeks later, I got a hand written card on Sunset Blvd. stationary sent to my home. I thought it was an extremely nice gesture, even if it was sent by someone other than her...

Christy responds. Typically very quickly, and her responses are always very kind and thoughtful.

"Unless you're sending the poster to a specific individual to be signed by one person, I don't think they would accommodate that request.

"War Paint does not ask for donations and replys very quickly, I heard back from them in 6 days and did not send a donation. I believe Groundhogs day is asking 40-50 dollar donations

Laura Michelle Kelly. I sent her a thank note after seeing her in Finding Neverland. No SASE. She sent me an 8x10 picture with her signature, a short typewritten letter and a signed playbill. This was Nov last year. Did same for Danny Burstein (Fiddler) and Cynthia Enrivo (Purple) but received none from them. Ms Kelly be in Chicago for touring for King and I. I'm excited to see her again.

I wrote to Danny DeVito in March as well and never heard back from him. I emailed the theater and they said all mail for "The Price" had been giving to Danny DeVito's assistant and none remain at the theater. Has anybody got stuff back from "The Price"?

Does Sweat ask for donations? I really want to send to them but I've heard from some that they ask for donations and from others that they don't.

Has anyone written to the Marquis Theatre (and gotten a response)? If so, what address did you use?
I'd like to write a letter to Ana Villafañe.

just got a response for Will Swenson, he sent me a playbill from Waitress signed and with a sweet note signed!

I sent letters to Derek Klena (Anastasia), Ana Villafañe (On Your Feet!), and Mamie Parris (Cats) this morning! Just letters (SASE included), no requested Playbills or anything. I'll keep y'all posted!

Anyone know the rule of thumb on sending something to a particular actor from one of their previous shows to sign? Is that a no go usually, would you send a donation as a courtesy?
