I mean, I don't know if they want to or are planning on going back to the source material at all (and god I do hope they drop all of the "Ozification" of the language), but a non-white Fiyero would be a simple way to go back to the novel, as Maguire makes it pretty clear that Fiyero is not white-skinned (one character describes his skin color as the color of sh*t)

Maybe we'll see the return of Fiyero's make-up design!

Barett as Elphaba? Taylor as Glinda?? Can you say at least which part?

I'd love to see Meghan Picerno (the current Christine on Broadway) as Glinda. She has a beautiful soprano voice. 

Renee has been in LA for the last little while but Kyle Selig just posted a video of Erika singing The Wizard and I ....

That's right! I do remember that Kyle was teasing something the other day with that video. I'll re-watch it.  Erika would be incredible!! 

I wonder when they'll go into pre-production full-on. 

It might well be a much better movie if animated.  And could use the original cast.

I can't imagine Disney doesn't have Idina under a non-compete clause for other animation projects.

Regardless, she can't sing the score anymore :)

Really??? I don’t know if something has changed in the last few years but I would suspect she would be able to power through the score still, especially in a studio (as opposed to live). 
 

[for me the issue is that she is just old]
