I just saw the London Wicked poster...why did they feel the need to change it, it looks like the cover to a tween girl paperback novel about a sleepover.
It looks rediculous. They should have kept the original and therefore creating a resognizable image. (a la les mis, cats, poto, etc)

i reallyyyyy HATE the new rent logo, just thought id say it again. i also didnt like good vibrations, godspell, footloose, or little women. ive seen a couple follies posters that i didnt like either. but i did like the gypsy revival poster i thought it was cool
don't worry i have xanga too. i don't think that myspace is really that much different. it's more dangerous to the teens in my opinion cuz u never know when some idiot or moron would want to kidnapp u. because most members has used their picture of them selves. i'm a myspace member though but my picture is a phantom mask. and no i'm not giving my link.
It was absolutely horrible! When I saw the posters at first I thought there was a printing error but then I got my Playbill and saw it was supposed to look like that. I just think it is a terrible, terrible poster.
"The hallmark of aristocracy is responsibility. Oh brother, that got me, that did me in!"
along the lines of my previous posted beautiful new Les Miserables Poster (of Eponine)- there's also one of Marius and Enjolras (i think one of them might be some popstar).
i have it on my computer, so if someone's interested in seeing it, PM me with your email.
ok FINALLY i get to discuss this :) the WICKED poster has been comming up in some comments about this and i personally think (even though im reeeaaallly) obsessed with it, that the regular one (not the london) is O.K, i mean, what else could their poster be? It's supposed to reflect on what the show is about, and that says it all, even though i just LOVE looking at it, it's really not that amazing, its great though. And the Wicked poster (London) that is one hell of a disaster! What poster could be uglier than that? I started like screaming once i saw that, it burned my eyes! And it's kinda giving wicked a bad rep for what the shows about just looking at the london poster, people are probably thinking ' One fat girls green and the other ones just fat!'
Why ruin the pefectly fine logo? Well, the Americans have screwed the British logos plenty of times. Actually, look at the recent poster image for the New York production of Mary Poppins.
Has anyone else seen this Rent logo? I found it on the chicago Rent tour stop page. I hope this means they are planing on changing the "Rent NOW!" campaign.
If this logo is old please tell me and I'll shut-up.
EDIT: I think it's just the tour logo since it's also on this site under the Rent tour. Updated On: 3/3/06 at 07:01 PM
At least the Julius Ceasar poster was upfront about the one and only selling point of the production. I'm surprised we aren't seeing Julia Roberts' face all over Times Square yet.
Actually, we're not going to be seeing Julia's face all over Times Square. The ad campaign for 3 Days does not include any likeness of her or her fellow cast members.
I just passed by the Royale today and Julia's name is not on the marquee (as stated it wouldn't be in another thread). Her name is on top of the doors as you walk in (above the left door) and her name is also written on the poster to the side of the entrance. But unless you are looking closely, it is not too obvious. Considering that the run is already mostly sold out, I think this was the right move.
