Yet Another Scary Case of Fan Foolery

Audra just posted a PSA on her Instagram after she was allegedly followed back to her building where she was staying by a fan requesting an autograph, and there was security involvement.

Yes, I know everyone has their polarized opinions about stage dooring - but this is really some next level nonsense. It reminded me of the teenaged girls who were chasing down Kit Connor’s SUV the night I saw R&J because he wasn’t able to get to them.

Thanks y’all. I just wanted to share the video and I didn’t think it would become a semantics contest. I would never infer she was lying. I don’t know all the details and so I used  the word if for some reason I misinterpreted what she was saying.

I attended Gypsy last night with several family members that are staying at the same hotel <edited by mods>. I walked them to the elevators and as I was leaving, Audra came in fast and this disgusting, huge, ogre of a man came blasting through the revolving door, nearly falling. He got extremely close to her, shoved a playbill in her face and said "I came alllll the way from Houston so you OWE me an autograph sister". Four security guards from the hotel staff immediately swarmed him until the cops arrived. It was horrifying and women have experienced this kind of illegal, terrifying behavior forever. 

If you were followed back to where you were staying in the city OP, pretty sure you wouldn't call it "foolery" because it's not. It's felony stalking. Do better.

And I will NEVER be quiet regarding women's safety (especially by loser men in this thread) as this has happened to me and millions of other women as well. Enough.

You described the situation perfectly as an intro to Audra's video which is all the context anyone could need.

Indeed a horrible and troublesome circumstance, and unfortunately I would be surprised if it was the first time it happened to Audra. Glad she is, physically, safe after that.

Here’s an idea, why don’t you post on the internet for all to see the specific location of where Audra is staying so more people can stalk her? That’s really protecting women!

Sadly, there are a lot of people like this stalker.  It sounds like McDonald is staying close enough that she probably walked to the hotel, but I'm guessing she's going to start getting into a car to be driven a couple of blocks to make it harder to be followed.  She shouldn't have to do something like that, but there are other stalkers.

I may be misremembering, but I believe Gypsy is the first Broadway show McDonald has done where she hasn't done the stage door at all.  She's always been very kind and generous with her time.   Unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me if she never does it again.

Are there charges or a court ruling regarding it? Because until there is, it is in the best interest of everybody to use "allegedly" to cover their ass in the event of being dragged into any potential court case. You know that, don't be foolish.

Surprisingly (this will come as a HUGE shock to dumbass tourists) there is more than ONE HOTEL on 44th. In Times Square. In America's largest City. I know, WILD! But yes, please act hysterical and pretend I just gave out her EXACT location all you want. Who knew so many insecure men on here would be SO triggered by being called losers? Oh wait.... ;)

Pretty incredible coincidence that the night before this post was made, Sutton was allegedly not only at Gypsy, but ended up at the same hotel, managed to witness an incident that perfectly aligns with the topic at hand, stayed long enough to see how it resolved despite being with family members, and it wasn’t even the first thing she replied to this thread with- she only brought it up after she had been challenged by multiple members.

if Sutton WITNESSED the incident, she doesnt need to "believe" Audra because she saw it herself. what a silly liar.
