Bravo Giovanni. Actually has a great score with lush music and Michelle Lee was a babe.
And her song "I'm All I've Got" is a GREAT alto belt audition piece.

My FAVORITE flop is
"Mack and Mabel"
My LEAST FAVORITE is
"Lestat". Simply dreadful from start to finish and it still sticks with me one year later.
I love you FOSTER! You linked it all...
Merrily We Roll Along will always be my very favorite. But there are so many others that I love!

I don't think the Sweeney revival was a flop. Nor was the revival for Into the Woods. (I'm not sure about ITW)
Loved High Fidelity, I wouldn't consider The Wedding Singer a real flop if it had an 8 month run.
Lestat was garbage from start to finish and was the only show where I was ready to walk out even though I payed full price for tickets. UGHH that show leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Taboo
Taboo. What a flawed but wonderful show. Raul!!
Sweeney revival was not a flop. Not sure about ITW, but I think it was.
caroline or change was not a flop!
i loved, the boy from oz.. though idk if it counted as a flop, it only went off because hugh had other stuff.. [of course he did haha]
CAROLINE, OR CHANGE played 23 previews and only 136 regular performances at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre on Broadway.
And-um-yeah...it DID flop on Broadway.
Broadway.com article on CAROLINE, OR CHANGE Closing!
hm, it must've gotten a lot of hype then, i just remember hearing a lot about it.
oh welll!

The Boy From Oz actually recouped. Not a flop.

Do you think ALL those shows were flops? What classifies a "broadway flop"? Now, I would agree HIGH FIDELITY, THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN, and LESTAT were TOTALLY flops, but how do you tell with other shows?
Into the Woods: 18 pre. 279 Perf.
Seussical: 34 pre. 198 perf
Jay johnson- Wasnt it meant to be experimental? Im not sure if it was PLANNING on running very long (like Kiki and Herb)
Just wondering!
A show is considered a flop if it closed at a loss. It's merely a financial term. Despite winning several Tonys and running for a few years, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE was a flop.
Favorite that I never saw: MACK & MABLE
That I did see: TABOO
