My favorite thing about Angels in America is that "it has a lot of tap dancing".
So, the clue is "The ____ ____ ___ of ___ ____ and ____ "?
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde doesn't quite fit.

LOL! That's the best part of ANGELS....

2017 is almost over, but this might make the Top 10 posts of the year....

Some schools are weird, honestly. My sophomore year I was cast in Lost in Yonkers as the Grandma, then I showed up to the first reading to discover that a.) our director's request to get the rights for the show was denied and b.) I was now playing Myrtle in Harvey (his contingency plan, apparently).
Three years later and I'm still trying to figure out both how he thought it'd be a good idea to cast a show before getting the rights to it, and how he made the leap from German grandmother to whiny teenager with my casting.
But when you auditioned, you knew what it was for - regardless of the switch. (But this exemplifies why you aren't suppose to announce or audition before securing the rights.)
In some 25 years of directing, about 5 shows a year, I've never had to make that kind of switch. We've only had rights pulled once, but that was several weeks before auditions. I thought that was a scramble id never wsnt to do again!

In my schools audition, all they want to know besides the talent is that if someone wants to be in a musical. Then we have an education term, and by your performance during the education, they decide which character are you going to be. You can be the lead or ensemble, nothing is certain.

From reading this thread it seems
the mystery show may be any-
thing from RENT to A FUNNY
THING HAPPENED ON THE
WAY TO THE FORUM (but with
tap dancing).
Definitely one of the most
entertaining threads here.
this thread is positively exhausting. first, i thought you got an actual clue, like from the director? but now it seems like you didn’t.
is this show happening in america? you seem like you may be ESL so if you aren’t american perhaps it’s not a broadway show
your description reminds me of part of the lyric from The Advantages of Floating in the Middle of the Sea from Pacific Overtures, maybe that’s the show.

Does no one really understand the concept of six words? :)
The only thing that makes any sense from the clues given is: Nice Work If You Can Get It - oh, wait that's seven words, so it's obviously Work If You Can Get It.

I am ESL, but i’m pretty sure it’s a Broadway show.
Could be a padded out version of Roar of the Greasepaint

Is there a reason why you (or any of the folks providing you with the 'update' info) can't just ask the director what the name of the show is?
I can pretty much guarantee you that there is no title of a Broadway show that fits the pattern you describe.

I'm betting on "A Day in Hollywood/A Night in Ukraine"

So now it's twice as long? I'm done.
"It’s probably an unknown show,"
But it was on Broadway?
OK something just isn't adding up here- Let us know when you find out.

There's clearly a language barrier here. There may also be an age issue at play. Maybe we can all try to be a little more patient and /or understanding. Clearly the original poster is going off a lack of clear information and is only looking for help. If there was a direct easy answer, they wouldn't have come here in the first place.

But there is - just ask the director. ...Which I'm hoping the OP will do (and soon) because, I'll admit it ---- I'm DYING to know the answer!

Well firstly, thank you! Of course the director won’t tell it to me right now, i guess we’re going to learn it on Saturday at the latest. I’m going to let you guys know.
And i’m sorry but i heard something new and it’s that the title is just: (something) (something) (something) of (something) (something) and it’s 6 words. I can’t expect you guys to find it anymore, i guess it’s kind of impossible now. I’m sorry
I’m sorry-
What r u? Canadian? ( it's a joke cos I am...) U have done nothing to be sorry for- You put something out there and we gave it our best shot but there are too many unknowns and qualifiers for a definitive answer. (And we like to be able to answer these type of questions)
Any who happy holidays and let us know what evolves.
