I have always a pair, one mini schnauzer or corkie to name Sweeney Todd (or just Sweeney) and a large orange cat to go with him to name Mrs. Lovett. And I vowed that whenever I couldn't find Mrs. Lovett and had to go looking for her, that I would call out her name like Tobias does: "Mirsuss Lahfvette! Mirsuss Lahfvette!" (or something to that effect) when he discovers the bodies in the basement

Muzzy would be a cute name! Grizabella??
Akita..Evita. but it's a boy so hmm. Trekkie Monster? And I dunno any fun names really so sorry about that, but here are just some random guy names: Mark, Roger, Fabrizio , Javert, Marius, Raul, George, yero (from Fiyero), Princeton (heh i like that one), Ramades (or whatever the guy's name is in Aida. Uhh, well those'r the first ones that came to mind. I know they are kinda recent Broadways..so if you want older names sorry.
Hope these help!

^ most of those are pretty good...but it kinda depends on what show you like. Wicked could be like...Fiyero, Boq, Avaric...stuff like that...and then all the stuff Theaterlover2 wrote are RENT names.
OMG Never name your cat Sweeney Todd, it mights cut you up or something...
yeah, i like radames i think. oh - moonface martin is sort of funny.

I think it is fun to add what animal it is into the names. For instance I have become obsessed with Beta fish! I now have 6 and their names are: 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Fish, A Streetfish Named Desire, La Cage aux Fish, Who's Afraid of Virgina Fish?, South Pacifish, and Les Fisherables. I just think it both fun and cute to come up with names like that! good luck with the naming!
PS. theatrelover: I think Trekkie Monster is such a cute name for a kitten!!!

If it's a tuxedo cat, you could always take the easy way out and name it Mistoffelees. That's what one of my cats is named (keep in mind that we got him four or five years ago, when I liked CATS).
i love scoundrel!

We had a cat named Skimbleshanks long ago. Even though Cats isn't my favorite show, I think the name is a good cat name.

Well, we adopted 2 kittens right after CATS was on PBS. The Tuxedo cat is Mr. Mistoffelees and the long haired tortoise shell girl in Grizabella. They both look like their counterparts. I think it's all what they look like, too, because we really wanted Mungojerry and Rumpleteazer, but they didn't fit that.
This isn't currently on Broadway but all you literature geeks will get it like i did.
I got a guinea pig for christmas, i recently had to give it away because i was extremely allergic to it, yes u know how to kill WickedGeek.
I wanted to name it something that meant something to me, that weekend i finished a production of "Of Mice and Men" so that was in my mind, and when i got him the cage came with alfalfa, if you've read the novel or the play youll get it. Well, at that moment i realized i had to name him "Lennie."

How about Pippin or Albin?
I second Bobby, so then I could sing:
"Bobby baby, bobby bubby.."
