I was looking up some of the concert cast, and I learned that Michael McArthur died earlier this month. Did the folks here know that? Sorry-- I searched, but didn't see anything.

I am sorry to hear this. I wonder if it was pandemic related? I had forgotten what an extraordinary cast Smash had assembled. When Jeremy was talking about the haters it made sad. He is just extraordinary as a musical talent.
This is excellent. Loved the interviews during intermission.
Side note: there's been a bootleg of the concert out there since 2015, but seeing a professionally shot video makes it all that much more enjoyable.
Is The concert going to be deleted after tonight?
You can watch on PeopleTV.com. It will be up there at least through the weekend.
was anyone else confused that they cut At Your Feet? it was the second number of the show but didn't appear on this stream
On my first non-work trip to NYC in 2012, I was there for 10 days and in the morning I had to leave I kept crying because I didn’t want to leave. The shuttle driver came and he let me ride shotgun. He could obviously tell I was intermittently crying but then as we were picking up someone else we passed a scene of Smash being filmed. It was Debra, Christian and Angelica in front of a theater. Somehow it made me a little less sad. This brought back a lot of pleasant memories. I too loved the intermission talk.

I feel like it must have something to do with the little girl who played young Marilyn. They didn't show her bow in the curtain call either.
Loved revisiting this show!! Everyone was excellent, but god, Megan Hilty is a star. We need her to lead a musical the minute Broadway reopens.
Megan gave a masterclass with “They Just Keep Moving the Line.” One it my favorite performances... ever. I love Katherine - I wish her “Never Give All the Heart” wasn’t so breathy. It was odd to see her with her feet crossed by the piano. Regardless, this was amazing. If you haven’t heard Katherine’s last album “I Fall In Love Too Easily,” it’s quite good. Jazz standards sung very lovely - albeit in a pop and breathy fashion. Her “Sooner or Later” is my favorite.
Oh, that was so great. As in love with the amount of attention plays are getting with all of these readings that are being done, a big shiny musical (even just a concert version) was just what I needed right now.
Hilty did a great Annie Get Your Gun at City Center with Andy Karl which I always thought could have been transferred to television.

Katharine McPhee has such a good presence onstage. What a dancer too! Sad I missed her in Waitress. I hope she continues to do work onstage!
I had had a query/theory that an announcement would be made that the upcoming musical adaptation of “Some Like It Hot” is just a guise and it will actually be a fully-realized production of “Bombshell”. A guy can dream.

Nope, I'll say it again. Megan is a superior singer (especially theatre singer) and probably a better actress. But you can't take your eyes off of Katharine McPhee. Talent has sometimes very little to do with star quality.

I would love this! If they can get a book writer, Bombshell could be a hit.

If it were even remotely true, I'd imagine it was Matthew Lopez as he is doing the book for Some Like It Hot.
Gosh.. the songs are really lousy.

Yeah I really don’t get why they cut “At Your Feet” ..... id watched a bootleg of it recently and the vocals were a little shaky with the dancing but I’m not sure it could be that. Maybe they wanted to keep peoples attention by going straight into a well known number with Twentieth Century Fox Mambo after Let Me Be Your Star

OMG this would be amazing!!
Watching the concert back in great quality after having been so lucky to be there in person was so special. I absolutely love the Bombshell score in itself, but seeing it semi staged with such wonderful choreography by some seriously good performers was amazing. And to put that together with only a few days rehearsal, RESPECT!
Megan and Kat were amazing, and their songs were perfect for them and their talents. Let Me Be Your Star always gives me chills and Moving the Line is a real end of Act 1 showstopper, Megan killed it! And super impressed by Kat’s dancing skills too, nailing 20th Century Fox Mambo and Public Relations.

Did anybody notice watching last night that Megan & Kat made three false attempts to go out for their final bow before seeing it was not their turn yet. They both seems to have a good laugh about it.
