Marvin Hamlisch Jason Robert Brown Adam Guettel Stephen Sondheim Craig Carnelia Andrew Lippa Mark Hollman/ Greg Kotis Richard Maltby Jr./ David Shire William Finn
Sondheim LaChiusa Duncan Sheik (the lyrics in Spring Awakening may be disjointed, iffy and ambiguous, but Sheiks score is amazing)
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
-SONDHEIM -Benny Anderson -Shonberg and Bublil (sp?) please give us something other than Pirate Queen -PUKE if JRBrown makes it to Broadway. I will not be in attendance
Strouse with "Marty" Kander(&Ebb) with "The Visit" Cy Coleman with "Ostrovsky" Sondheim with whatever (I even liked Bounce, the score was enjoyable) Hamlish had been mentioned, yes Jerry Herman (though I doubt he'll do another show and Miss Spectacular wasn't exactly a dramatized work) Schmidt & Jones (though Harvey Schmidt would have to withdraw from his retired life) Maury Yeston (he hasn't had a show since Titanic) Marc Shaiman (of course with Catch me if you can, which is a highly enjoyable score) Flaherty & Ahrens, yes, but they'll come anyway with their "Rocky" adaption. Which sounds somewhat ... to me.
I'm a little reluctant about JR Brown since I wasn't exactly in awe of what I listened of his new shows that head to Broadway. But of course I would go see his shows as well, he's generally a talented composer.
I would love to see Charles Strouse with one more big fat Broadway hit. Even when some of his shows failed, there was always something to admire in his music.
Charles Strouse and Lee Adams with It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's Superman! I saw the concert version with Cheyenne Jackson and Shoshana Bean and I loved it! And with the proper staging it could be amazing!
And Sondheim, pre-Bounce!

I could've sworn I heard that Jerry Herman vowed never to write another Broadway show after La Cage. I forget if it was just a rumour though, does anyone know?
"Light the candles! Get the ice out! Roll the rug up, it's today!"
Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick are both still alive and kicking and should be doing another show. I had such hopes when they wrote that new song for the revival of "Fiddler".
