Curious Incident (did a DC via NYC for a wedding the past weekend. The show just impressed me on so many levels--and I wasn't a huge fan of the book) YCTIWY (Great production. Nielson and Ashford are a riot. No weak link in the cast) Choose between On the Town and Cabaret for show #3. Cabaret might be very exciting with Emma Stone joining next week.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
You won't get a chance to see that level of dancing with that large of orchestra playing that gorgeous score another time. Despite the theatre it's in, the production is perfect.
I also think that Once would be a good choice - I didn't have much desire or interest in it either, and only went because a relative gave me a free ticket that they couldn't use. I ended up loving every minute of it.
I liked it. Truthfully, I thought this production of Cabaret was lacking-and I LOVED the first revival. I really love Side Show and think it's a gorgeous production. I was pleasantly surprised by You Can't Take it With You.
