ACL is correct, and there's a few other good titles coming this season to Vancouver. It's going to be a good season for many BAC markets.

I’m waiting for the Orpheum in Minneapolis to announce its season, last year it was on 1/23/17. I asked a Hennepin Theatre Trust (organization that operates Broadway season) and they said to expect the new season in early 2018. Many people subscribed this current season in order to renew theirs for next year and guarantee their Hamilton tickets, I’m a little worried that there’ll end up being a waiting list like some other cities. We’re getting hamilton, but personally I hope for CFA, Dolly! (Is that even happening?), Charlie, Les Mis, Fiddler on the Roof, and if Falsettos came here that’d be a miracle. (If that’s even happening) I’ve actually never seen BoM, but I’d like to, so I wouldn’t mind if it came to Minneapolis for a fourth time.

Sadly I have to wait until probably around mid-March for Boston to make their announcement, and it looks like Providence has announced theirs in the past anywhere between mid-February to mid-March.

The one show I'm praying we get is Fiddler. My grandmother is turning 90 years old next year and it's one show she's never been able to see and has always wanted to go (she had tickets for the original Broadway cast, but was pregnant and ended up having to give them to a friend, and she couldn't travel to NYC to see it during the most recent Broadway run due to mobility issues). I would love to be able to take her.

The COME FROM AWAY tour already has a bunch of cities lined-up. Dates haven't been announced for most, but it's kicking off in Seattle in October and then heading to San Francisco and Los Angeles. It's Canadian cities are: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa. Boston and Baltimore have been announced and Washington DC and Philadelphia are expected to be announced as well.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Yes I'm curious about Come from Away too. I'm pretty sure Boston & Providence are getting School of Rock this season...

Looks like DEH is coming next season to Vancouver as they say you get first access if you buy season tickets this year.

A one week stop of Hello, Dolly has got me a bit underwhelmed.

One week is the average length of a tour stop for most cities...

I was also surprised that all the new shows were only one week, but I'll bet that most of these are also going with longer stops to the Pantages which announces their season next week and then to SCFTA in Costa Mesa.  I know that Wicked is going to the Pantages right after the San Diego engagement staying until February 2019.

Just so it's on here, here's the Hollywood Pantages Theatre:

A Bronx Tale 11/6-11/25

Hello, Dolly! 1/29-2/17

Cats 2/26-3/24

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 3/27-4/14

Fiddler on the Roof 4/16-5/5

Les Miserables 5/7-6/2

Miss Saigon 7/16-8/11

A couple of gaps for some bonus options, especially around the holidays, September-October and in June.

Just a quick questions.

A lot of theatres rely on season subscriptions, people stump up a lot of money for a package of shows, so what happens to a subscription if a theatre typically Los Angeles or San Francisco take on a long open sit down such as Hamilton or in the past Phantom or The Lion King? I mean no one is going to renew to see the same show 5-6 Times?

Typically, if a show has a long run, it's typically a hot show and they (should) have no problem selling subscriptions. In SF, there are two theatres (as you know, there used to be three) for them to use, so even with Hamilton's super-long 4 month run, they could accommodate other shows. This season had a double-length two month engagement for Aladdin. Even with one house, it's still do-able (especially with normal 2 week runs - seven shows = 14 out of 52 weeks).

For returns, they are usually non-subscription offerings. Subscribers get first dibs and a discount, but it's not part of the show. After ten years or so, they may add it back as a subscription show. I think Book of Mormon is back for its third (fourth?) engagement as an extra offering. It was subscription on the first tour in 2013 or so.

Any predictions for The National Theater in D.C.? I'm thinking Come From Away, but what I really hope is Hair which is tied for my favorite musical but I have yet to see it. I heard an "announcement" of a 50th anniversary tour but nothing has really been announced.
