The funniest play since 1865 makes its way uptown.

Oh, Mary! begins Broadway previews tomorrow night (June 26) at the Lyceum Theatre, prior to a July 11 opening. The Off-Broadway transfer — which just concluded a successful run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre last month — is written by and stars Cole Escola as the inebriated, wannabe cabaret star Mary Todd Lincoln; the cast also includes Bianca Leigh, Tony Macht, Conrad Ricamora (as Abraham Lincoln), and James Scully. Oh, Mary!, directed by Sam Pinkleton, runs through September 15.

Oh, Mary! is a dark comedy starring Cole Escola as a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. Unrequited yearning, alcoholism, and suppressed desires abound in this one-act play that finally examines the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs. Lincoln through the lens of an idiot.”

Who’s making the trip up to the White House?

Considering this first week is like 99% sold out because of the Pride offer when the show launched sales, anyone who gets any kind of rush/lotto, you are truly blessed

I've heard while an extension isn't guaranteed, they have the theatre open-ended.

Lost the lottery :(. I'm curious if they are selling the same merch or if they added some other items.

Given how hot it will be tomorrow (reaching 92 degrees), I wonder if they'll sell ice cream at the Lyceum? I know in West End it's normal to sell ice cream at the theater but somehow it's not that common on Broadway.

Not sure why they waited so long, but they ended up releasing a ton of seats for the first 5 previews, mainly in the orchestra.

The stage is high at the Lyceum. I’d never pay $189 for front row.

I think they removed the front row. Normally the front row at Lyceum is row AA but for Oh Mary, the front row being sold is row A.

Thanks for the heads up! Just snagged a rear orchestra ticket for Saturday evening. I can't wait to see this!

Should we expect any changes to the material –whether that's adding anything new or extending a certain moment?

Or will this largely be a cut and paste transfer?

I personally am not expecting any major changes- the show was pretty perfect as it was downtown. I’m sure there’ll be some tweaks to some lines, perhaps the ending will be expanded a bit for a Broadway, but I really wouldn’t think much else.

While I know it's a standard practice in the West End, Broadway audiences are already (let's face it) not very neat, sloppy. Can you imagine how it would be if they added ice cream? They would not add it just because of the weather tomorrow. I also know shows have sold food (specifically OK! and chili) but it would not be smart of them to do that. Just get some after the show

Reddit reports say they had 20 rush tickets to sell, and all were partial view & scattered around the theater. Not too many people showed up early, but now that the news is out, that may not be the case.

I imagine there were some tweaks made, considering new scripts were printed for this run.

I am big. It’s the REVIVALS that got small.

That's sort of a large leap from "A" to "B:".  Broadway houses have a LOT more backstage crew, understudies, etc who need a copy of the script.

Also if anyone sat in the orchestra or balcony partial view seats would love to hear how actually “partial view” they are.

Yes please share! I'm curious too. We need comedy on Broadway so I hope this fulfills that
