I still have my playbill with the red rose on it. I've still got my shirt too and it still fits me because I bought it huge, lol.
We've done this before, but OK.

Hmmm what was my first Broadway show....I think the first professional musical I remember seeing was Joseph with Mr. Osmond when the tour was in Chicgao. (Funny thing is..I still have the program and have worked with one of the brothers from that first tour many times now). My few shows on Broadway...I remember flying in the night of the Tonys...and we stood on the red carpet and watched the winners walking to an after party at Sardi's....I also remember getting pushed over by Matthew Broadricks body gaurds :) (This was the Sunset Blvd/HTSWRT year). While there we saw...Sunset Blvd with Geln Close/ HTSWRT with Matthew and Tommy (which if I remember correctly was closing soon after)
I went back about 6mo or so later with another group and was forced to watch Sunseet Blvd AGAIN..but this time with Betty Buckly...and also had to watch HTSWRT AGAIN...but at least Mrs. Broadrick/Parker was in the show as well. We also saw Stomp...waste of money in my opinion.

The first time I went to Broadway I was eight and we saw 4 shows. So basically here was the order I saw them...
1. Les Miserables
2. Cats
3. Anything Goes
4. Steel Magnolias
So all of these shows are very special to me but I LOVE Les Miserables! So that was my VERY first... That was back in 1988. Got to go and meet Patti Lupone backstage for the first time also. Pretty awesome trip for an 8 yr old...

Man of LaMancha- very impressive, saw it twice. It was also my fathers first Broadway show.

I didn't realize this also included touring companies.... in that case it was either Peter Pan with Sandy Duncan, King and I with Yul Brenner or Camelot. I'm not sure of the order, but I loved each and every one of them! *sigh*

I grew up about 2 miles from the Papermill Playhouse in NJ, so I saw lots of musicals there as a tot, but my first Broadway show was Annie in 1979. I went with a school friend and her parents for her 9th birthday, and we went to La Fondue for dinner and Serendipity for dessert! It was great. I was eight, and I wanted to be an orphan in that show just so bad!
Cats. I was six, so that was sometime in '92 or so.

The first show I saw was Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. It was a great experience, it was also my first time ever in NYC and I'll never forget it. Made me fall in love with the city as well as Broadway!
Raisin, some time in 1974!
My first Broadway TOUR was Beauty and the Beast, which I saw my freshman year of high school (three years ago, I'm a senior now). And then sophomore year we had our NYC trip that our theatre club & art club does every other year. First trip to the Big Apple! I saw (in this order): Rent, Hairspray, Cabaret, and Aida. GREATEST TIME OF MY LIFE! ^_^ And we're going back this February!

Rent, 3/98...the only playbill I don't have. I'm pretty sure I had Norbert and KLK, but I just don't know!!! Anyway, I hated it. 5 years later, I grew to like it.
