The deleted scenes are great. Parker Posey's audition monologue is surreally brilliant.

if you've ever done community theatre or even SEEN a community theatre production...this movie is SO HILARIOUS.
so are best in show, a mighty wind, and spinal tap. see them all, right now!
I'm workin' on a new...healthy...low fat...healthy...blizzard.
Parker Posey is a GENIUS.
Parker Posey told my friend and I originally the plan was to bring "Red White and Blaine" to off bway or bway but after the filming, the cast decided not to.. apparently guest has an extra 40 hours of never released footage of songs and scenes from the film too. Chris Guest was recently approached to bring Guffman to Bway and he said NEVER. It will NEVER happen :o(

I also suggest Noises Off. Its very funny as well.
This movie is just plain awesome. I always pop it in after a bad day and after watching "stool boom" my stress just melts away.
"There will be plenty of time for kissin' when we get to California, Billy Whitaker."
Parker Posey is my hero.
I've never heard of it. What's it about.
Omigosh, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this movie!!!
"My bubi made a kishka, she made it nice and fat, my mother took one look at it and said 'I can't eat that!' Oh mama mama mama, oh mama me oh my!!!..."
Medicine man no go near dances with stumpy!
In a nutshell, it's about a director in Missouri who wants to present a FABulous new musical for the town's sesquicentennial. To echo some others, if you've ever done community theatre or SEEN community theatre, it will be incredibly relevant.
Members of the company I work with snippily trade 'Guffman' anecdotes behind the back of one of our directors, who is quite honestly a real-life incarnation of Corky St. Clair.
