Carol "Divabitch" Kane was positively EVIL. She snuck out the stagedoor wearing a huge hat and glasses and actually backed into someone's car (and a pole) trying to get away, all while screaming, "MOVE! MOVE!"
I am not joking. I can see the point of sneaking out when you don't want to sign for people, but there's a thing called "tact".
I met the entire cast of Ave Q at the stage door and they were all so sweet. John posed for several pictures, and even recommended a re-take when he tought his eyes were closed in one. It was a great experience after a great show!
Nicest -- Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Brooke Shields, George Grizzard, Judy Kaye, Sara Ramirez, Idina Menzel, David Hyde Pierce, Chita Rivera, Michael Ball, Michael Cerveris, Patti LuPone, Antonio Banderas
I know like 2987394739 people are going to say this, but that's because it's true. Anthony Rapp. Not even just the nicest *actor*, but one of the nicest people you will ever come across, regardless of profession, or anything else. The entire OBC of Avenue Q, Michael Arden, Julia Murney, Lisa Bresica, Adam Pascal (very, very high on my list, anyway), Jesse Martin, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Wilson Heredia, Greg Jbara, Erin Dilly, Patrick Wilson, Kevin Cahoon, and Chip Zien. I've found Raul to be extremely friendly, but sometmes shyness comes off as standoffishness, I think. Not that he can't be a bitch.
I can't say I've ever had a *bad* experience, though.
Nicest: Brooke Shields, Melissa Errico, Kathy Griffin, Greg Edelman and Lisa Brecia. Worse: Christina Applegate...there were about 5 people at the stage door and she still wouldn't take a picture with me. And Oprah Winfrey was actually really nice but she didn't want to take pictures with anyone but in her case it was understandable because the whole theatre was crazy about her.

When I saw DRS in Ocotber, Dennis Parlato was the understudy for John Lithgow and he was absolutely rude. He barely signed an autograph and acted like he was too important for everyone, when only my brother and I were there. Nicest-- Tim Martin Gleason, ah i forget her name but she is from Avenue Q and she is blond, Norbert Leo Butz, Sara Gettelfinger, Laura Marie Duncan, Gregory Jbara, Sherie Rene Scott, Megan Hilty, Shoshana Bean, Kevin Meany, and John Lithgow.
Ha I actually have a funny John Lithgow story. A week before I went to see DRS, I saw John Lithgow on the Tony Danza Show. At the Stage Door I was so starstruck, that I blurted out "I SAW YOU ON THE TONY DANZA SHOW LAST WEEK!!!!!!"! He stared at me, then muttered "that's a good show", gave me a weird look, and walked away. Haha. Oh, and when I went to see DRS the second time, there were 4 people at the stage door including my brother and me. And I was 2 minutes late for catching Norbert. I don't think I will ever forgive myself for missing him. I don't think that the stage door is ever that empty. Ah, I still kick myself whenever I think about that. Updated On: 12/12/05 at 06:55 PM
Bruce Vilanch and Erin Dilly and Kevin Cahoon were definetly the nicest to me!
Saycon Sengbloh was the nicest ever to me. I e-mailed her and stuff like that and when I met her she screamed and hugged me. Then she performed "The Wizard and I" in Bryant Park, and at the end said "That was for you Danny!" So totally sang a song for me! I feel amazing when I think about it, and I was completely in shock when she did it, I love her!!
Nicest: Alan Tudyk, Sara Ramirez (My friend mentioned it was my birthday, and she sort of squealed and gave me a hug :P), KELLY KARBACZ (seriously, nicest. person. ever.), Kristin Chenoweth, Kevin Cahoon, Greg Jbara, Laura Marie Duncan (who apparently likes my hat)...
I don't know that I've ever had and TRULY bad stagedoor experiences.
