How sad...the whole thing.

On a lighter note, Nathan Lane was born today.

I was watching an old tape from the Disney Channel and there was a preview of him in concert and I got so sad. Rest In Peace Jason

Rest In Peace Jason.

I just realised that on Broadway sings Paul Simon he sings the sound of silence. Kinda sad.

I was just listening to Endless Night, and the power and emotion behind that song is astounding. A tragedy for Broadway and the world.

I was just thinking about him this week. This explains why. Thanks for the reminder of a bright light put out too soon.

OMG, when I saw his name posted on the boards, I had to check this post.

It's so sad. I am still so sad about it. I never met him but I listen to "Endless Night" all the time.
I wish he was still around.

He mastered that song!

I miss his smile. He had the most radiant smile. Who knew it was covering up so much pain?

He was such an amazing talent. His "Endless Night" brings me to tears. What a tragic loss for the Broadway community. We will always remember him, though.

Before he went to Broadway he worked at a theatre near my home, where my best friend acted. I believe Jason did South Pacific, and I remember hearing stories about how the entire cast would stand in the wings listening whenever he had a song. He was such an amazing talent, with so much pain inside.

Rest in Peace.

Endless Night has always been one of my favorite songs, and he was amazing as a singer.

I actually found his CD single and his Disney concert, believe it or not. He seemed so sweet and he was definitely a missed talent.

Did anyone here attend the memorial service at the New Amsterdam in March/April 2004? How was it?
More specifically what did Heather Headley sing? Endless Night?

"Nathan Lane was born today"

Really? He looks so old for only having been around for a few hours. And to have accomplished so much and become famous in that short amount of time!
