I believe auditions are on Friday. Seeing as I'll be ain NY anyway, I would audition if...
1- I weren't busy that day
2- they didn't ask for people in their 20s, seeing as I'm an 18-yr-old who looks 13.
Kathleen Monteleone? Max Crumm?
ME....but I'm in London and all the Equity thing would get in the way....damn!!!

David Burnham and Barrett Foa have both played Jesus and are both favorites of Stephen Schwartz.
They are looking for age range of 18 to early 20s for all roles. Don't have to be those ages, just have to look it?
Personally, I think they should cast as many people as they can from the Paper Mill Playhouse version of that show. I saw that cast and they were amazing!

I could see Jonathan Groff-as a matter of fact, he was suppossed to do a production before he was cast in SA
Lol. Another part for Groff to overact.

I dont think anything (in my opinion) can top the INCREDIBLE 2000 off-Broadway Cast that I was fortunate enough to see. It was truly amazing. Special kudos to Shirley Temple of Doom, the incredible band that made the entire evening worth while.

Does anyone know if this production is being approached the same way as the 2001 Touring production? That was a hot show. Very fresh. Loved it.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
The 2001 Touring Cast was so fantastic. That cast. That directorial concept. Unforgettable. I LOVED it.
I've heard excellent things about the 2000 off- Broadway cast as well.
But this production is being approached from the direction of the recent Papermill production, correct?

I agree playhousebeauty. One of the best revivals I have ever seen both on and off broadway. Seriously, jaw-dropping.

I didn't say I agree with Groff, just that I think they'll cast him.
I hated the Papermill production. No spirit at all and too much riffing.
An ideal cast would be the best actors from the 2000 off-Broadway, 2001 tour and Papermill with Barret Foa as Jesus.
