Yes, you should have stayed! You know a lot of people in the city who would be more than happy to house you overnight!
I am in central Jersey, too. We still have NOTHING on the ground.
That is just too weird!

Yeah, I am by the shore, though.

This does not bode well. The lights flicker about every 5 minutes.

Yep, still going. It's kind of slippery to walk through, too, but damn the snow still looks pretty. And it hasn't gotten deep enough yet for me to be cursing as my jeans get soaked to the knee.
Yup, there it is. It's on the ground and accumulating fast.
Same here too. It's not stick ,but it's alabama. I'll take whatever I can get.
Wexy...too funny cause it's too true. I am guilty of shopping as if I'm taking part in Biosphere 3, especially when it comes to cat food/treats.
In VA, there is lots of snow and I drove in it. Not Smart. Blech. I grew up in California where I thought anything below 50 degrees was harsh.
Ugh I hope it's bad enough so they maybe cancel some of my classes tomorrow...

Oh dear, I missed Harpo!
Snow is tapering off here in Maryland. It will be over by 10:00am. I just measured 14" in my backyard.
Where did I put that snow shovel?
Well...we've gotten enough snow to cancel our church service this morning....of course they didn't make that decision until after I was outside shovelling a path and digging out the car......
We've gotten at least 10" and it's still snowing........
I couldn't wait to get up this morning and watch Tai Shan (baby panda) outside in his first snow. So what do I find? He's climbed back up into his favorite redbud tree and fallen asleep again! http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/GiantPandas/default.cfm?cam=LP2

Brd - I wouldn't mind if school was closed tomorrow. At the least, we will have a late start.
Unfortunately, administrators are expected in even on the day of a snow closure, but we go in late, leave early and enjoy the quiet while it lasts.
LOL - scratch what I wrote about the pandas. Mom got him out of the tree and now they're having a ball playing out there. I sure hope Dottie got over there this morning - with a good camera! (He can walk.)
It's quite an interesting snow storm. With thunder and lightening. I don't believe I've ever experienced such a thing before.
I have blizzard brunch plans, but it's pretty bad outside. Not sure we'll want to leave our homes. We'll have to see how quickly it clears up.
Hopefully the storm will move quickly. They say NYC has about another hour or two of whiteout conditions and 1-3 inches per hour.
I'm going to take some pictures later. Fresh snow in NYC really is beautiful.
This really sucks!
I hope people can get in for Broadway Bears.
I also have a ticket for DOUBT today and I am having DOUBTS about being covered in snow.

Down near Baltimore I got about 13 inches. I know it's nothing compared to what you New Englanders are used to, but for me it's the same as 42 feet. :)
Today is a day where living alone is not so cool!! :)

JLS - I was supposed to have brunch in Baltimore this morning. Needless to say, Canton can wait.
I'm still hopeful I'll be able to get to mine. But it might be a late afternoon meal...
Oh wow who knew pandas could get any cuter, but all it took was snow!
only like 5-6 inches out on Long Island where I'm at...
Blu- Yeah, but last I heard they're expecting another 8-10 inches ehre.
