I just wanted to share with everyone my favorite Christmas song, which I think is one of the most beautiful ever written.

I'm partial to "All Those Christmas Cliches" when sung by Nancy LaMott
Nice pick, Jordan.
My favorite is "Baby, It's Cold Outside!" by Liza Minelli and Alan Cumming. SO fun and fierce! ALWAYS gets me in the holiday spirit!
Adam Pascal's "New York State of Mind" on the same album, and Audra & JRB's "White Christmas" mostly wordless version rounds out the Top 3.
P
I enjoy Christmas songs about being depressed on Christmas. I enjoy "Last Christmas (I Gave You My Heart)" and "Hard Candy Christmas" very much.
My new single, "Gay and Alone on Christmas Eve (with a bottle of Vodka)", will be out in a few weeks. Lady Gaga is doing the remixes as we speak. John Barrowman is already making a parody video after his year late Beyonce video debacle.
I still stick with "Christmas in New York" by the Pogues ( w Shane & Cristy) Cant go wrong w the classics.
My favorite Christmas song is any one that DOESN'T have the word 'holly' in it. For obvious reasons.
Though I have always been partial to Bing Crosby's White Christmas. :) Can't get any more classic than that.

I love all Christmas songs, as all good Jewish boys should. However, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Sinatra's White Christmas.
I like the many songs that appear in the various Bass/Raskin specials. "There's Always Tomorrow" from Rudolph, "Big Surprise" from The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus, "Christmas in Killarney" from The Leprechauns' Christmas Gold, the song from Jack Frost where they're exchanging gifts, and many more
Anyone who posts The Christmas Shoes should be shot.
I love Christmas hymns. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing is my all-time favorite. (I just typed Harold Angels. I think it's time for bed.)

Amen. I still remember the first time I heard that song, when my aunt played it on iTunes during Christmas Eve. The look on my mother's face as she tried to keep from vomiting was priceless.
I'm always a bigger fan of non-secualr Christmas songs... I think "The Holly and the Ivy" is very high on my list.
Bobby, that sounds like a country song! LMAO!
When I was pregnant I cried every time I heard Josh Groban's "O Holy Night" So gorgeous.
I think I'll have to go with "Christmastime Is Here" from "A Charlie Brown Christmas."
My choice would be Angela Lansbury singing We Need A Little Christmas. Though Karen Carpenter singing anything is always a fine choice.
The first song in this medley is my favorite Christmas tune, but anything she sings is Christmas.

I love Christmas music. Some of my faves are "Christmas Wrapping" by The Waitresses, "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" by Darlene Love (the U2 cover is great, too) and "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues.
Any songs you can't stand? I think I hate "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time" the most!

I like most Christmas songs, so it's hard for me to choose just one.
I'm gong to agree with "The Christmas Shoes" to an extent. I don't hate it, but it is very cliche and too sad. I remember watching the movie on tv last year and being very pissed off at the ending.
"The Bells of Christmas" Julie Andrews

(I actually like the version from the Firestone Xmas album better)
"Kissin' By the Mistletoe" Aretha Franklin

"Go Tell It On the Mountain" Mahalia Jackson

"I Wonder as I Wander" Anyone, but love Barbra's version

Eris, I also love "There's Always Tomorrow"!
"Silent Night" has always been my favorite.
The Carpenter's Christmas album does seem to be the most played in my house during the Holiday season.
My favorite funsy ones are Pearl Bailey's "Five-Pound Box of Money" and Louis Armstrong's "Zat You, Santa Claus?"
Favorite not-quite-Christmas song is Pretenders' "2,000 Miles."
The Christmas Shoes song just makes me want to punch someone.
I've always love The Little Drummer Boy by Bing Crosby and David Bowie.
Tiny Angels by Roger Whittaker
Tiny angels - Christmas angels try to sleep.
Don't let Santa hear the sounds of little feet.
Now its time to close your eyes and drift away,
until you wake tomorrow and its Christmas day.
Tiny angels - I have heard you every night.
Whispering with bright eyes shining in the light.
Daddy, when is it Christmas - will it soon be here?
Well my darlings, it's very, very near.
As near as you my angels - since you came to me.
Now Christmas day and every day is the same to me.
The only gifts that I could want are you, my darlings.
Tiny angels - Christmas angels sleeping tight.
May Santa bring you all the gifts you want tonight?
And some day when you have tiny angels too,
I hope you find the joy I found in you.
You changed the world, my angels - when you came to me.
Now Christmas day and every day is the same to me.
The only gifts that I could want are you.
Tiny angels - Christmas angels try to sleep.
Don't let Santa hear the sounds of little feet.
Now its time to close your eyes and drift away,
until you wake tomorrow and its Christmas day.
Chor:
Christmas bells are ringing.
Christmas is here again.
Excited people opening presents.
Christmas is here again.
Bright shiny Christmas trees,
small children on there knees. . . .
There's another song called Merry Christmas Wherever You Are but I can't find the whole song online. I have it at home though but here is part of it
Merry Christmas wherever you are
All of our brothers under one star
One love another in this one world together
Where ever you are tonight.
You took mine, Danmag. Bowie and Der Bingle... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9KpNznVLlY&feature=player_embedded
It's the first thing my family listens to every Christmas morning for as long as I can remember. Christmas does not officially begin until we play this album. During "the Santa years", my brother and I were not allowed into the living room until we heard the music start.
