This Friday, VH1 will brodcast a four-week run of "Rupaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race:. Each episode will feature thee celebrities and will be taught through previous Drag Race veterans the ins and outs of being a drag queen. What celebrities do you think will participate and how well do you think that this show will do?
Probably a lot of reality tv stars and “influencers”.
The brand is getting so overexposed, I wish they’d calm down.

Cruelty is the point.
Wait I'm misplacing my rage. Or am I?
I almost never know who the celebrity judges are on drag race. So I imagine I'll have no idea who the celebrity drag queens are.
I watched a video on YouTube that had spoilers for all 4 episodes, and I only recognized 6 of the 12 "celebrities":
Nico Tortorella (Younger)
Alex Newell
Dustin Milligan (Schitt's Creek)
Loni Love
Tami Roman (Basketball Wives)
Vanessa Williams
I also recognized Hayley Kiyoko by name only, but I've never even heard of the other 5.
There’s been rumors that Harry Styles, Billy Porter, Margaret Cho, and Andrew Garfield are some of the Celebrities.

Three and a half hours. As I suspected, that was a slog to get through. VHI programing should know. A little bit goes a long way. It made me tune out Jackie Cox even more.
I really enjoyed the celeb one. Nico is...a lot to handle, though.
But I agree I wish they would have saved this for after the regular season had ended. It was a long night.

I'll check in to see Dustin Milligan, that's for damn sure. Otherwise whatever.
Also sorry not sorry but women competing on drag race don’t interest me at all.

That Nico....oye. I don't know any of they's work. Only seen pictures on the internet. They seemed to be in better shape (more muscular) in those pictures. At times, last night, in that wife beater, they looked like they had a gut. Still doable, but maybe with a gag in they mouth, to keep from talking. (just typing they is making me laugh) I felt they were greatly exaggerating the mannerisms. Or are they really like that?

Well leave it to WoW to screw Queens over. None of the Queens in the mentor roles did any of the makeovers. The queens who did (Laila McQueen (Jordan), Mayhem (Jermaine), and Shannel (Nico)) had their appearance cut from the show and only Mayhem was credited.

Wasn't aware of this at all. Thanks for the info.

I shudder that Nico is one of the leads in the new Walking Dead spinoff.

I stopped watching after the first half hour. It was so dull. What made last week's episode somewhat enjoyable was the constant reads between Bob and Monet. This week, had none of that, unless it came later in the episode. If there was a highlight during the part I saw, was when Vanessa started pulling out her tracks and Loni said something like she can do that. She can afford it. Then Tammi just pulled off her wig. Maybe if this was on a another night. But I felt like I just spent a hour and half with the special fans and the importance of the value of drag and then a rehash of it again in Celebrity. For another hour and a half. I did stay up for Untucked. Even that was a snooze.

Did we really need 3 1/2 hours of straight women getting done up in Drag? BOTH shows suddenly figured that straight women in drag is somehow actually drag-- guess what-- it ain't! I'm so over their need to push drag queens back into the role of best friend to coach straight folk in life issues. I don't need yet another iteration of PRISCILLA or TO WONG FOO... Let's please get back to drag being a sport of GAY MEN and TRANS folk breaking all the rules. Dressing Vanessa Williams up in fancy wigs and makeup-- what the hell kind of revolution is THAT?

This is not all straight women, it's 5/6 men (probably cop it for that one) and 6 women, but I agree.
They've single handedly gentrified drag long ago though so good luck with stopping it now.
There's also another (absolutely horrendous) series with Alexis, Jujubee, Bebe and Thorgy which is basically Drag U mark 2 with all straight women.
I find Dragula much more 'real' and has far better acts than Drag Race. I just wish they'd drop the gross stuff, it really ruins the show.
Each time any of them said “this is my first time in drag” or something of the sort, I wanted to punch my tv. I love you Vanessa Williams but please don’t tell me as a beauty queen you’ve never padded or used a sh*t-ton of makeup before.
And Loni looked just like Latrice.
