For some inexplicable (totally didn't spell that right?..) reason I always knew about him but wasn't crazy about him. 'Till now. I'm on the bridge of psychoticness...(didn't spell that correctly either...) I can't be the only one.
What is your obsession based upon - Alias ends this year - odds are he will be in another show on BW soon enough.
when i first started working on broadway shows, in the mid 90's, i kept seeing this guy at every opening night i went to and practically every show i went to. just looking at him, i knew he was somebody but i had no idea who. at one party we were standing next to each other at the bar and i just blurted out (so i'd had a few scotches), "i see you everywhere, who the hell are you?" he laughed and said, "i was just thinking the same thing. i'm victor garber." being new to broadway, that meant absolutely nothing to me and obviously the alcohol allowed my eyes to betray that fact. he kindly said, "i'm an actor." we had a nice chat and then i went home and googled him when i sobered up. very nice guy, good actor too.

For a while, he pretty much WAS everywhere on Broadway: DEATHTRAP, SWEENEY TODD, LEND ME A TENOR, ASSASSINS (Original Off-Broadway), TWO SHAKESPEAREAN ACTORS, DAMN YANKEES revival, ART, ET CETRERA ET CETERA...

Great story, papa. He's been backstage twice--and is always polite. And tall.
Papa, I so thought that sentence was going to end "he kindly said, "I'm an actor." we had a nice chat and then i went home...WITH HIM."
I've always enjoyed his work.
The best Anthony in any production of "Sweeney Todd".
Very funny in "Noises Off" and "Lend me A Tenor".
Very Good in "Arcadia" and "Art".
Don't watch "Alias" and was not too fond of him in the movie version of "Godspell" but then again, I was not really fond of anyone in that disaster of a movie.
marisa tomei was also at the party. the scotch told me that she wanted me.

"I'm on the bridge of psychoticness.."
That's a bridge you crossed many many miles ago.
I agree with Sueleen. That would have been a much nicer story.
I was standing right next to him outside the theatre for Jersey Boys right before I went to the show a couple weeks ago. He wasn't going to the show, but he was just hanging out and talking to some people outside the theatre.

Don't forget his work in Titanic, the movie.
And the TV movie version of Annie with Audra McDonald.

I'm a big fan of his
He was fantastic in "A Little Night Music"
I adore Victor Garber. He was in one of the first Broadway shows I saw in the 70's - a revival of Tartuffe at Circle in the Square. The production was amazing with John Wood, Patricia Elliot, Mildred Dunnock, Tammy Grimes and in smaller but fun parts Victor Garber and Swoozie Kurtz among others.
I've been a fan of his ever since.
i loved him as Mr. Andrews in Titanic. He was a bastard in Legally Blonde but he was good! lol. luv him.
He's an amazingly skilled and versatile actor - and there's something about him I find really sexy - not sure what it is.
munkus: I agree. there is something about him that is so sexy! but what? his eyes? his quiet manner?
Quiet manner - very good way of putting it.
He just seems like a very smart, nice, passionate man - and he has aged very well. I wouldn't mind spending a night or two with him
I saw him a couple of weeks ago. He's quite dashing.
