Past couple weeks people have been creating new SNL threads particular to that weeks host. I know a Bieber discussion is already going on separately, but it'd be a shame to not continue this thread after it's been commented on for over a year.
To sum up the discussion: Bieber sucks.
Can't wait to see what Christoph Waltz does next week. I suspect he'll be great.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I did LOL at the doubles sketch ("That one looks like me", "Hi, it's me, Ellen"). And the Bravo commercial was funny, but Bieber just domes off as a little duche, even when he is mocking himself. And I ended up having to mute through his musical performance. I was wondering what would happen to his voice after he hit puberty. I know now that it's like the Titanic hitting that iceberg.
As I said in the other thread, this was one of the worst episodes in recent memory. Bieber is untalented, and that's giving him more credit than he deserves. There are hundreds of high school actors/singers across the country who would have been better than he was last night.
I also loved Kate as the Russian woman on Weekend Update. It almost seemed like she was ad libbing. She stayed in character even though Seth was losing it. The musical guest is very interesting. I like them though!
Other than that, a good show on its own and obviously an improvement over last week. I especially loved Djesus Uncrossed (the "H" is silent), Taran as Rubio, Kate's Russian Woman, Fred as the girlfriend, and I liked the opening too. Man, a lot of craziness happened this past week.
