Which DVD in your collection is your favorite?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

The Birdcage, 100%!

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

My favorite is the Almost Famous Bootleg Cut (2 disc special edition). I could watch the extended edition, "Untitled" and all the bonus features over and over and over on that DVD! I love it!

Isn't it great?!?! Did you find the easter egg w/ Kate Hudson trying to do the "You're name'll be Spencer and mine will be Jane" line?? She must have screwed it up 50 times! It was hilarious! Cameron Crowe was just like "Nope. It's '--'; 'Again.' 'Still wrong.'"...I love that DVD. I've listened to the directors commentary at least 3 times! Oh, and the added scene w/ Kyle Gass is to die for!!! Pity it didn't make the final cut!

Hands on a Hard Body.

No, it's not porn.

It's out of print and hard to find and it's my FAVORITE documentary. I've watched it at least ten times.

At the moment, my favorite is the Criterion SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. I finally found a used copy I could afford last weekend (it’s been out of print for a few years). The current DVD available from MGM has more in the way of extras, but the Criterion release has a fascinating Jodie Foster/Anthony Hopkins/Jonathan Demme commentary (the newer “Special Edition” substitutes a retrospective documentary for the commentary).

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous

The Jerry Meguire Box set. Only because instead of just the audio commentary of Tom, Renee, Cuba, and Cameron watching the movie. They also include actual watching of the movie.

It's priceless, just to hear how much they love Regina King. "Regina King" And to hear Cuba and Renee talk aobut what a special time they had on set and then Tom was like "It will happen again" haha. Plus Tom spent a lot of the time trying ot get Renee to be Bridget and she was like no but all cutesy. Very funny.

THe Heathers DVD is great too but that's only because that movie changed my life.

It's worth a shot/ :) www.freephotoiPods.com/?r=15009978

Yeah, I have that Jerry Maguire DVD. I listened to the audio commetnary, but then noticed that they had video commentary listed. What an odd thing. I watched a couple of minutes of it, but since I'd just listened to the commentary track, I didn't want to watch it all over again...I forgot all about that.

I have Jerry Maguire but haven't listened to or watched the commentary, so I should do that.

My favorite DVD is the same as Mabel's (Almost Famous Bootleg cut). Mabel, that easter egg is priceless! "CAMERON CROWE!!!" I also love the one with Kate saying "Leslie" over and over. She must say it at least 100 times. That DVD is worth every penny and more.

Oh, I know!!! "Leslie. Leslieeeee...Lessssllllie. LESLIE. Lessssslie. Leslie!" W/ her running all around!!! I got that DVD as one of my high school graduation presents, and it's always one of the first things I pack when I get my stuff together to move (either back to school, or for the summer, or wherever...I've been doing a lot of moving lately!!!)
