South Florida, here are his plans for a contested convention:
"SANDERS: Well here’s the scenario. Secretary Clinton has done phenomenally well in the deep south and she has picked up a whole lot of delegates there. We are now moving beyond the south. We are moving west where we think the terrain favors us. West coast is probably the most progressive region of the united states of America. We think we have a good shot, can’t guarantee it, of winning a whole lot of states of winning a whole lot of delegates. Of perhaps winning California, the state of Washington, Oregon, many of the smaller states, and winning new York state.
We think if we come into the convention in July in Philadelphia having won a whole lot of delegates, having a whole lot of momentum behind us, and most importantly perhaps being the candidate who is most likely to defeat Donald Trump. We think some of these super delegates who have now supported Hillary Clinton can come over to us. Rachel in almost every poll not every poll but almost every national match up poll between sanders and trump, Clinton and trump we do better than Hillary Clinton and sometimes by large numbers. We get a lot more of the independent vote than she gets, and frankly, and very honestly, I think I am a stronger candidate to defeat Trump than Secretary Clinton is and I think many sec—many of the super delegates understand that."

I don't think anybody really believes Sanders is the stronger candidate to beat Trump, outside of the most rabid of Sanders supporters. And I think the the possibility of persuading the superdelegates of that is zero.
It's one thing for polls to show him running better than HRC now, but that would change dramatically once the Trump, the RNC, and their superPACs started targeting him. That said, he and his team need to say something to justify their continued presence in the race. Better to let things like this slide, unless and until he starts running true negative ads against her.
By the way, in a recent interview Warren ducked a question about whether or not HRC should release the transcripts from her speeches to Wall St. To me, this indicates she will be fully on board, and that will be a huge boost to the campaign. She has an unparalleled gift for speaking about complex issues in simple terms without condescending. She can reach far beyond the liberal base.
How To Explain Hillary Clinton’s Fundraiser With Failed Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes
Scenes from the wreckage of the Democratic party.
"To understand how it came to pass that Clinton would authorize Holmes to be a fundraising stand-in for her campaign, you need to be aware of how the Democratic party has evolved over the past few decades — an evolution that Frank rather eloquently documents in his book. “At some point,” Frank tells the Huffington Post, “[the Democrats] decided that they weren’t all that interested in the concerns of working people anymore.” Rather, Frank says, they became fixated on “the concerns of the professional class, people with advanced degrees, people at the very top of our economic society.”
Essentially, the Democratic party lives in a meritocratic bubble, where credentials, advanced degrees, media savviness, and — above all — wealth, are treated as de facto evidence of authority and expertise. This is how the Democratic party has rationalized participating in the school reform movement: to meritocrats, it makes perfect sense to believe that a successful CEO would know more about how to run a school system than actual teachers.
And once you’ve made it into this coterie of elites, it becomes all too easy to forgive them for their occasional transgressions. The failures of Theranos don’t stick to Holmes (indeed, the media continued to fawn over Holmes after the Wall Street Journal blew up her spot). If anything, these setbacks are temporary embarrassments on the way to success. Class recognizes class.
Frank says that Clinton is “a perfect example of the kind of liberal I talk about,” steeped in the “belief in meritocracy that’s going to solve all things” and the regular “palling around with billionaires.”
“When you listen to her talk,” Frank says, “when she’s not trying to steal Bernie Sanders’ talking points and actually speaking her own mind, she gravitates back to meritocracy almost automatically.”

But really, my favorite thing this week is all the #Bernouts who've done nothing these past few months but scream about how they HAAAAAATE super delegates - now they like them a lot because Barney has said "I can get 'em".
So now this week, Bernie's new plan is to subterfuge super delegates. I guess the republicans aren't the only ones trying to re-write and change the rules. Maybe next week, Sanders will block traffic going to HRC's event, like Trumpland is doing today...
Well like Ivy Lynn (Megan Hilty) would sing:
"They cheered at my persistence, but prayed for my decline...They just keep moving the line".
This article has been posted by a couple of the #bernout people I'm friends with on Facebook. It's a delusional piece of writing. The entire premise demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of how this process works (and in that regard, they're not much different than the Trumpists).

When one super delegate changes sides lemme know, better yet make it 50 cause that won't change things either. The only strategy left for Sanders is to start winning every state, no super delegates would change unless he gets the popular vote or Hillary gets in trouble, calm down.
Sanders and his supporters need some time, and they deserve it. To put things in perspective, the intra-party rhetoric now is no worse than it was in 2008, and the Dems came together then. In fact, the circumstances are significantly better now, with Trump or Cruz as the probable opponent, plus Elizabeth Warren as a galvanizing voice within the party.
^Yeah, we'll do that, start rooting for Trump guys and gals, the chaos is all I'm hanging onto.
I'm not hip, is report to mods a result of someone who got trashed?
I wanna report Jordan, Namo, Stage Manager, PRS, Matt, etc... they're all very mean people and I want them banned for snark that has gone too far.
One-fourth of republicans now say they’ll vote for Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump
Dailynewsbin articles generally mangle news stories from other sources.
The USA Today poll referenced in that DailyNewsbin article is actually MORE intriguing, because it tells how millennials would vote in a Hillary/Trump election:
In case Namo didn't get my drift yet, I want all bad talking Trump to stop until he has secured the nom. Good stuff PJ, old man.
I don't think anybody gets your drift, SF.

The "Bro-iferation"
"Now we’re talking about the sort of bro who instigates the hijacking of Hillary Clinton’s official Facebook page; who harasses women who endorse Clinton; who tells black Americans whom he thinks it’s in their best interest to support. Yeah, we’re talking about the Berniebro. I know: him, that Bernie Sanders supporter so badly feeling the Bern that he communicates in condescension and flames...."

I hope Sanders is the nominee...this way Trump would be president. Hillary is a disgrace and a pig.
I'm really tired of people crying misogyny where there is none to be found. For example, in that NYTimes link the idea that those comments RE: VP were somehow linked to her gender is ridiculous.
I'll leave you to read this. It's not a well written article, but I take a couple of points from it:
"Accusing people of sexism or misogyny, simply for pointing out Hillary Clinton completely fabricated a story about surviving Bosnian sniper fire, and Clinton’s legions label you a Bernie Bro, while hiding behind the privilege they pretend to loathe."
Beware of the Angry White People Supporting Hillary and Spreading the ‘Bernie Bro’ Myth

Please! H.A. Goodman is the biggest BernieBro there is! He's very biased against Hillary -- and that's putting it mildly -- so take what he says with a grain of salt.

If you believe recent polls, states like Arizona and Utah would be in play if Trump is the GOP nominee.
Speaking of Trump, Elizabeth Warren issued her strongest condemnation of him yet on her official Facebook page today:
Let’s be honest – Donald Trump is a loser. Count all his failed businesses. See how he kept his father’s empire afloat by cheating people with scams like Trump University and by using strategic corporate bankruptcy (excuse me, bankruptcies) to skip out on debt. Listen to the experts who’ve concluded he’s so bad at business that he might have more money today if he’d put his entire inheritance into an index fund and just left it alone.
Trump seems to know he’s a loser. His embarrassing insecurities are on parade: petty bullying, attacks on women, cheap racism, and flagrant narcissism. But just because Trump is a loser everywhere else doesn’t mean he’ll lose this election. People have been underestimating his campaign for nearly a year – and it’s time to wake up.
People talk about how "this is the most important election" in our lifetime every four years, and it gets stale. But consider what hangs in the balance. Affordable college. Accountability for Wall Street. Healthcare for millions of Americans. The Supreme Court. Big corporations and billionaires paying their fair share of taxes. Expanded Social Security. Investments in infrastructure and medical research and jobs right here in America. The chance to turn our back on the ugliness of hatred, sexism, racism and xenophobia. The chance to be a better people.
More than anyone we’ve seen before come within reach of the presidency, Donald Trump stands ready to tear apart an America that was built on values like decency, community, and concern for our neighbors. Many of history’s worst authoritarians started out as losers – and Trump is a serious threat. The way I see it, it’s our job to make sure he ends this campaign every bit the loser that he started it.
