Looks like "Little Bear Ridge Road" is coming for this next season. It's such a tiny show. I think it would only work at the Booth.

if true, this will be the broadway debut (so overdue) for Samuel D. Hunter!

I had to stop and think about that for a second- it is wild he hasn't had a work on Broadway yet.

There's an audition post for it, so I'd think that confirms it. Just no actual dates or theater. I'd imagine it goes to the Booth or the Golden, but since neither tenant has posted a closing they can't say anything.

They're definitely going to try to get Laurie Metcalf back for this, right?

Ok but is nobody talking about the fact that this will be the first new show produced by Scott Rudin??? Meaning that Rudin is coming back this next season
Punch will begin previews September 9 and open on September 29.
Oedipus begins previews October 30, opens November 13, and runs through February 8.
The first-ever Broadway revival of Chess, starring Lea Michele, Aaron Tveit, and Nicholas Christopher, will begin previews on October 15 and open November 16 at the Imperial Theatre.
Any other new musicals expected for the fall? Trying to nail down a fall trip but the lack of new musicals makes me weary.

Other than those already announced?
No dates set yet for Rocky Horror or Lost Boys.
Am hoping Two Strangers… transfers down from ART, but no announcements yet…
By "new musicals" do you mean completely new shows and not just revivals?
Queen of Versailles is new on Broadway. Revivals so far include Ragtime & Chess
Off- Broadway sees revivals of Spelling Bee & The Baker's Wife. Encores revives Bat Boy for two weeks in a production that may be aiming for Broadway.
Two new works Off-Bwy as well:
August - October at NYTW is the Sia musical Saturday Church
At The Public dates TBA a new musicalization of Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth.
Sept 21 - Oct 11 at the Met is a new American opera, an adaptation of novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay from composer Mason Bates
Autumn in New York 2025 looks very promising. I would say the biggest trouble is for those of us who can only visit for a limited time. What can I fit into my schedule? What will I have to miss?

'Midnight in the garden of good and evil' is still set for 2025, does anyone know the status of that musical?

This is listed on the Public's website. October 24-November 30th. All of their 2025-2026 programming has dates, I believe

Thank-you, I hadn't checked their website recently. The show is titled The Seat of Our Pants with music & lyrics by Ethan Lipton. I see tickets are now on sale.
For myself, I don't know if it fits into my schedule unless I drop something else. If I knew the composer it may have been a bigger priority for me. Also it's a play I find difficult to love.

Finally announced!!
I saw it at Steppenwolf last summer. Another phenomenal, awards-caliber performance from Laurie Metcalf. (Micah Stock was also brilliant.)
They could just put slightly more effort into the set for Broadway.

I wonder where Two Strangers Carry a Cake will end up; they were vying with Little Bear for the Booth (allegedly).

Little Bear Ridge Road confirmed for 25-26 season, starring the original Steppenwolf cast, including Laurie Metcalf and Micah Stock. Excellent prediction by the originator of this thread ... it's headed to the Booth Theatre, opening night scheduled for October 30.
Playwright Samuel D. Hunter said in a previous video interview, "I wanted to write a play about people watching television."

This wasn’t a prediction, I just update the original post whenever we get an announcement for a show with a theatre and dates.
