Grimes got one.
THE WAY MY HEART DROPPED WHEN THEY SAID SIX AND NOT “A STRANGE LOOP”

This is what makes her absence so glaring. What an absolute joke.

One for Jared Grimes. Exactly what they deserved

10 nominations for Paradise Square--including Best Book--is insane.
Jared Grimes got a nomination. But I think that's it.
Shocked Lenk didn't get a nomination.

Jared Grimes, but that's it (unless I missed something)
I was surprised Paradise Square got a bunch of nominations and Funny Girl was almost completely shut out!

The featured actor in a musical category is mind boggling.

Anyone tallied up the numbers? How did they fall?

What’s with all the Paradise Square Noms!? Best Book? Really? It’s a mess!
Lenk not being nominated is disappointing.
I’m happy for Paradise Square. Producer aside, I really did enjoy that show.

Am I looking at different nominations? Katrina Lenk was nominated for best actress according to Time Out.
Nevermind - I see those weren't the actual nominations.

The Minutes nominated for Best Play and nothing else?! Has that ever happened before for a play?

Not a single nomination for CHICKEN AND BISCUITS
I’m very surprised A Strange Loop got Scenic over Mrs.Doubtfire. ASL’s stage is literally bare 90% of the show.

Time Out posted their personal nominations for their TONY (Time Out New York) awards, not the Tony Awards.

The Time out article fooled me too! It’s the Time Out NY (TONY) noms not actual Tony’s

That’s an irritating “joke” they do at Time Out. What you read were predictions.

Paradise Square getting a best book nomination is a sick joke. And taking up TWO featured actor slots? What show did these nominators watch?? This is great publicity for the show though and I do hope it increases their ticket sales.
I'm bummed Jessica Frances Dukes didn't get a featured actress in a play nomination (especially since I was not a fan of Clyde's).
Choosing to channel my energy toward positive surprises now...
My biggest "HELL YES" moment was Jeannette Bayardelle's nomination. I saw GFTNC (for the 4th time lol) this past weekend and she is so, so good. Loved all the GFTNC nominations in general!
Also super happy for Carmen Cusack. It was a great performance.
