^ There are still tickets available to purchase, via fandango.com, for 7:00pm showings at both AMC Empire 25 (W 42nd St) and AMC Lowes Kip Bay (Second Ave)

Hm. I just looked and it said sold-out. Weird.

I'm worried that some screenings for this will be empty. Fandango has been listing some screenings as "sold-out" but when you check for seats, everything is available but not selectable. Some theaters linked on Fathom don't show up on Fandango either once you click on the links.

I doubt it's sold out in my area, but I've bought my tickets. I've heard nothing but praise for this production. Also, I'm a Sondheim fan but I haven't seen Merrily yet. I'm looking forward to seeing it!

Thank heavens the magic day has finally arrived. Finally!
Now at least we won't be barraged with ads for the damn thing every time we enter Broadway World, or spend any time here.
Which doesn't mean of course we won't be reading threads about it from here to eternity. Too bad it now has competition from Fun Home!
How lucky we are: two masterpieces side by side!

Who is forcing you to open and read said threads I wonder. Should we notify the authorities that you're being help captive with a gun to your head?

I am a bit worried about my screening being completely empty. When I went to see the movie about the 24 hour musicals I was alone. Anyone else seeing it in Germantown, MD?

Do empty movie theaters frighten you? I personally love when I have a movie all to myself.. Diffrent strokes for different folk, I guess.

No, I enjoyed it actually. My only concern is if these types of events continue to only draw me in, that they might not use the theater for these events in the future. There is something to be said for experiencing things with others though. I don't enjoy going to the theater and to movies with people I know, I worry too much about what they are thinking, but a shared experience amongst strangers is comforting.

I'm seeing it tonight, and I'm not particularly excited.
But then, I don't really get into seeing the same show in multiple productions, and I've seen about 8 Merrilys already.
And then there's the whole thing about it not being actually live...

I want to see it tonight but have no one to go with and the mall is very far from me so I am thinking of ditching though I so badly want to see it. Is there any other way I'll be able to see this? Are there plans for a release?

Eeek! It's almost time. So excited!!
Iflip- I'm seeing it in Owings Mills, MD but I guess that doesn't help you! Curious to see how empty or full the theater is. I saw the Company screening in a full theater but that was downtown Baltimore, I don't know what the suburbs will produce.

I had a rough day today - a little Sondheim sounds like just the cure. I can't wait for the showing tonight!

Who wants to start a petition to have the ads continue so After Eight won't spend time on here anymore? I'll find a way to finance it myself.

I'm home already from MERRILY. Why? The North Brunswick, NJ, theater--which was packed, by the way--couldn't get the sound to work. Anyone ever heard of a silent musical? They supposedly worked on the "problem with the feed" for about 45 minutes, then gave up. Arrgghh! What a disappointment.

Intermission in Paramus, NJ. Show is sold out. Some seats in the first two rows, and I'm unfortunately stuck in the second row, straining my neck.
Great production so far!
