Ariana and Cynthia to Wicked Broadway April

They are absolutely not doing that, because they would only stand to taint their mystique and hurt their Oscar chances...and they wouldn't be sufficiently coddled either.
No way is this happening.

Pull yourself together. Obviously this isn’t true.

cool story bro

Of course starting April 1st.

It’s all true. Also, Chenoweth is also playing Morrible. Tickets are priced $20 - $35 became the cast agrees they want as many people to be able to see it as possible and every ticket comes with a meet and greet photo op with the two of them in Glinda’s bubble and a signed double LP of the film’s soundtrack. This is all very true information.

Throw in Lorna Luft as Morrible and I'm sold.

Lorna said that role wasn’t exciting enough for her, but she is doing 3 weeks as Boq, as a way to really push herself

All franchises of DRAG RACE are filmed almost a year in advance - it's not a 'live' show. Just the facts, man. This info alone would have saved you so much time in posting this nonsense.

Yes but they are playing Dr. Dillamond and Nessarose and will be alternating the roles.

Honestly plugging in different Ru Girls' for Morrible is a great idea.

Morrible coming out on stage with just... a massive rack.

Is there any GOOD reason for this not to happen?
What… they’re above it now they’re Hollywood stars?
They both have stage experience, both claim to love the roles, and live performance is their first true calling. It makes sense.
Of course they’d have to re-learn the parts in a completely different way, but they are capable of that.

A pretty good clue if this were actually happening Wicked/Ticketmaster would immediately take that block of tickets offline and start an Amex presale or something. So, no. This is not happening.

Because it would take them out of commission for a number of months when they both have other commitments and it's full awards swing for Wicked, doing any post-production finishing on Part 2 and starting to kick off that press tour.
And it's not just re-learning their parts- it's learning an entire production. Blocking, choreography, quick changes, makeup, scene changes, hitting cues, etc. You can't just hop from a film to a stage production. It all takes time, time that celebrities of this level simply often do not have unless it has been carefully scheduled a long time in advance.

That does make sense - but let’s book them now for 2026!
Ariana was only just talking about returning to Broadway. We usually assume that the OG cast of a stage show would love to reprise their roles in any screen version… the reverse can be true too, surely.

I’m sure Renee Zelleger and Catherine Zeta-Jones have been approached dozens of times by the Weisslers
