How about CSI: the musical - boy what they would have to do with the makeup or The Reality Musical - the musical about the reality of reality shows, of course Jeff Probst is the emcee!
In high school I wrote a musical based on the book ON THE BEACH.One of the few musicals where the last 4 scenes are the principals dying and at the end the whole world is dead.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
1984-The Musical!!! The show would end with a big showstopping number performed by Big Brother, played by Nathan Lane, and a big chorus of tap-dancing Thought Police in sequined outfits and bedazzled helmets. It would be fabulous.
Evil Dead- The musical. Wait, they did that too! And it is fantastic! (It was actually made by a bunch of students from my University). I'm seeing it again next week!
"It's not a problem, it's just a challenge, it's a challenge, to resist temptation."
Well I figure with all the excitement over the movie its only a matter of time before the Simpsons come to Broadway. :-P
