Well right now they have both "A massive, melty mess" (MM) and "Lots of sucking" (Timeout)...

Those will keep them open for years!

^Whenever someone mentions pull quotes, all I can picture is that scene from SMASH during "Bombshell"'s opening night where Daphne Rubin-Vega and Angelica Huston are running around their make-shift pressroom like mad people.

Murray had this line.
"This is not a musical thats willing to settle for second worse"

John Rubenstein as Grandpa Joe is "a lobotomized Bernie Sanders" -- you could sell me for this show on that!

A few factual errors in that Chicago review.

Is there much of an advance sale on this one? If not, I wonder how long it will hold out with these reviews. I thought I might want to see this but probably not.

From what I've read, seen, and heard, this production is SUCH a missed opportunity. I'll be seeing it in July but it really breaks my heart that this is the end result.

Yikes. I don't usually revel in nasty reviews, and I have no plans to see this myself....but these are wonderfully awful lines.

So sad. The story itself is such fertile ground!
I have to agree Dramamama. I laughed at some of the lines!

Very puzzling that a talent team consisting of O'Brien, Borle, Shaiman and Wittman among others, would be so universally panned. Have to wonder how they were so far off?

Another pull quote, "...sex-offender-registry creepiness!".

And because Jeffery can't seem to be bothered.

Jeffery don't add reviews if you can't be bothered pre facing it with a simple 'positive, mixed or negative' the way it's been done on here for years.

Why do you people have to be so mean? I can post the reviews any way I'd like. What are you, the posting police?

There is just an established way we do it. A lot of folks don't want to read the full reviews or don't have time to read every review. It is easier for all if you just quickly sum it up by saying if it is positive, negative, or mixed when you post it.
