I am coming to NYC in August with my mom. We have tickets for Mary Poppins and Legally Blonde. We want to see another show Sun afternoon and plan on getting tickets from TKTS. Would y'all recommend A Chorus Line over Curtains, or an entirely differnt show? Please explain why you are making a recommendation. Again, please remember we need options that are likely to be at TKTS. THANKS!

Go see A Chorus Line!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you're seeing the show on the 12th, then it'll be Jason Tam's last performance!
Curtains...David Hyde Pierce is so charming and wonderful in his role. The dancing is fun and high-energy. I left this show feeling truly invigorated.
I have nothing new to offer, but wanted to throw my vote to the CURTAINS side of the room!
It was a FUN night of theater with a great cast! Perfect for Mom! ENJOY!
Curtains, Curtains, Curtains.
wow ...im def. going to be in the minority, but go see A Chorus Line PLEASE. Curtains was horrible...it was trying to be an old-fashioned musical, but it's not as good as any of them. I found the show to be dull and boring with a good joke here and there. The music is very sub-par (ESPECIALLY for Kander and Ebb).
Curtains.

Curtains
Considering ACL and Curtains are my two favorite current Broadway shows, I don't think you can go wrong with either one.
A Chorus Lines, hands down. Curtains sucks. Practically everything about it sucks. Don't waste your money seeing that when you can get cheaper tickets to Chorus Line and leave having seen a better show. Ditto everything BrianIdol said.
bjh2114, are you kidding me? What sucks about CURTAINS?
I ushered there last night, and I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't like the show. The dancing is amazing (especially Noah Racey), and the story is fantastic. The show gives me a good feeling inside.
See Curtains. The cast is fabulous!
While I agree that the score may not be its strongest point (with the exception of a few songs), the cast of Curtains is not to be missed!
Chorus Line has great music and dancing.
Both are fun shows. I'd choose Curtains if I had to choose one.

Curtains didn't leave an impression on me. It was fun, but nothing spectacular. I guess I could say it was a pretty forgettable show. I mean, if I was on that trip and saw Curtains, I'm pretty sure I'd have trouble remembering what the third show I watched was. Also, if you don't get to visit NY often, I'd definitely pick a variety of shows.
ACL, on the other hand, was just... unbelievable. If you haven't seen ACL, you HAVE to! It's really funny, sometimes touching, and has an amazing book!
It's funny, but I wasn't terribly impressed with Chorus Line beyond the dancing and Jason Tam. I thought people seemed like they were acting. "Here's a STORY I'm TELLING about my LIFE!"

A Chorus Line makes me want to slit my throat when I leave the theater.
I guess to clarify my one word answer... I took my parents to see Curtains last Sunday (the 22). I hadn't seen it before and was only going by what people on here have said as well as another friend who had seen it. We all loved it, and everyone around us seemed to love it too.
I don't DISlike A Chorus Line, but this production just lacks something to me as compared to the original production. Granted, the original production (not cast, just production) was my first ever Broadway show, so it's hard to recapture that magic (Les Mis which I saw on the same trip suffers from the same fate as a revival for me...just can't get the old magic back). But given a choice between the two, Curtains wins hands down.
seems useless at this point but i say Chorus Line... its a legendary show... i loved it
A Chorus Line, no doubts.
