Pestriction on additional memorials

1. Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, the Board shall assure that after December 2, 1983, no additional memorials or plaques in the nature of memorials shall be designated or installed in the public areas of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
2. Paragraph (1) of this subsection shall not apply to—

1. any plaque acknowledging a gift from a foreign country;
2. any plaque on a theater chair or a theater box acknowledging the gift of such chair or box; and
3. any inscription on the marble walls in the north or south galleries, the Hall of States, or the Hall of Nations acknowledging a major contribution;

which plaque or inscription is permitted under policies of the Board in effect on December 2, 1983.

(3) For purposes of this subsection, testimonials and benefit performances shall not be construed to be memorials.

What I'm getting at is that such a turn of events won't produce the kind of healing we need. I'm not in contact with my sister (and a couple of other relatives) because of her support for Trump. I'm ready and eager to forgive if she realizes her mistake and acknowledges the harm she's done by joining such a noxious, demented cultural movement that attacks every value I hold dear. If instead she stops supporting him because he's a pedophile and offers some kind of facile apology based on that, no forgiveness will be forthcoming: it won't do anything to reverse her previous support of a bigoted and cruel regime.

Well... sounds like a personal problem for you, but this is the one thing his base is actually responding to and he actually cares about. Which means it could actually do something. I don't care about forgiving anyone, I just want results and holding out for people to have a problem with what he's doing in the country isn't. Your problems in your family dynamic won't, because as you said... they don't care what he's doing...

This idea is beyond ridiculous. Can bills proposing the renaming of The Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial for this "man" be far behind?

That "person" just denied Maryland FEMA Aid for their terrible floods in May.
