If you think for one minute that this guy is going to honor any judge’s order, you haven’t been paying attention. His workaround may be to demolish the Kennedy Center completely so he can replace it with another hideous monument to himself, but trust me, compliance is not on the menu.

Donald Trump said that his administration will be working with Congress to transfer the Kennedy Center “back to them” in light of a federal judge’s ruling that the president’s name must be taken off the performing arts institution and blocking plans to close it for two years for renovations.

I just heard this on the evening news as well. Hopefully Congress can take the Kennedy Center Honors back and actually bestow them on people of merit.

No, Trump does comply with (or backs down from) the majority of legal rulings made against him. It’s a propaganda victory to make it seem like that never happens.

Don't forget that the Trump appointed board will remain in place, with the sole purpose of doing his bidding, and based on his reaction to the judge's ruling, his bidding appears to be the ultimate destruction of the any Kennedy Center that he can't put his name on. It's going to get much worse before it gets better.

The board can't actually make any large scale changes without congress so it's just going to be 3 years of ****ty programming.

I haven't read the most current vision of the Board's bylaws, but the Board can do quite a bit without any action of Congress given that they hire and fire the CEO, approve the operational budget, and oversee the physical plant.

I literally thought I was going to have to wait for Gavin to be in office and then it would have absolutely been filmed live. But, the fact that this brilliant judge gave them only two weeks is *chefs kiss*. There will be photos. Many, many photos. It will look so good when that scum is scrapped off the building.
