Holy Jesus! That set design is fantastic. As do the costume sketches. Now I’m beyond excited to see this. It’ll be fantastic having a solid period looking adaptation. Streisand’s Fanny was glorious 1964-65 fabulous and never truly period correct. Nice seeing Arnstein’s “Temporary Arrangement” number is in Act 2. The Overture will have visuals so it won’t be the old school curtain Overture.
As of today, no. Ephie Aardema and Julie Benko posted a picture together on Instagram today in front of the Wilson, which is still displaying the Slave Play marquee.

Its a scaffolding set with 2 large staircases on each side and center stage has an opening. From a quick flash of the script seen in the TikTok video, looks like Fanny makes her entrance at the top of the staircase and walks down to stage level where her dressing room set will be and she’ll look into the mirror (looking into the audience) and say the iconic “hello, gorgeous.”
What a great NYT piece. It presents the creative team as taking great care to mount this revival. I'm even more excited to see it now. And good to know that Fierstein and Mayer have taken what they learned in London to incorporate new things into the production here.
I'd really like to see this in early April. Would you buy tickets now or wait? I generally like to get close up seats and will often get partial views very up close, but those don't look available for my dates. Do you think the prices will go up from now or are likely to go down/get some discounts? Thank you!
Based on what I’ve seen of the set design, definitely avoid partial views on this show due to the 2 staircases on each side of the stage which will most likely block a large amount going on upstage. You definitely will miss most if not all of the Ziegfeld Follies numbers as it’s obvious a large staircase will be center stage and those side staircases will block your view.

Thanks for the seating advice! My ticket is in Mezz Left row C 11, do you think it’s too far on the left

Hi Roxanne, because you want to go when the show is just beginning the tickets are pretty well sold. The tickets were initially cheaper but now they are just the standard rate for Broadway right now. I don't think they'll be discounts at this point, so you might try your luck later in the year because as I stated, those tickets were sold months ago. Good luck!
Weirdly leaves out any mention of the 2002 concert version."
Or the scrapped 2012 Broadway-bound Bartlett Sher revival with the announced Lauren Ambrose and Bobby Canavale and which Streisand even endorsed enthusiastically. A few producers pulled out and realizing they couldn’t mount a lavish production, they chose to scrap the entire thing.

Actually the article quite extensively covers that...
