I've been waiting for someone to start a thread like this i have tons.
1st- Jai Rodriguez and Rocco Dispirito(I could've sworn they were holding hands at one point, but you didnt hear that from me) at Chicago. Jai was singing all the songs. they sat directly in front of me and my sister.
2nd- Bebe Neuwirth( whom my mother went to Juilliard with) at the ill fated "Look of Love". she remembered my mom and said " oh yes...the infamous Sheila...", which was really wierd and im guessing an inside thing. i asked my mother about it and she jus smiled.
3rd- whitney and bobby at Grease when Jasmine Guy was playing Rizzo. they were soooo interesting.
4th- Phylicia Rashad and Lynn Whitfield at the Black Theater Fest in NC. They were INCREDIBLE. so sweet. and we are all sorority sisters so when i told them and of course proved myself as an AKA, they invited my best friend and I to lunch. it was awesome they gave me all this great advice.
5th- I jus recently saw Quentin Tarantino at Spamalot. he was very tall.

Only one I can think of was about a month and a half ago at Altar Boyz, I sat two rows in front of Jai Rodriguez. It was apparently his second time seeing the show.
Gloria Estefan was sitting a couple of rows behind me at The Boy From oz last June. A woman tried to get herself chosen as the the Bi-Coastal participant that day by throwing a thong (in a plastic zippered bag) on to the stage. "Peter" wouldn't play along, gently chastising the woman for throwing something that could hurt someone. He did put the thong on over his pants though. At the end of the number he took it off and threw it to Ms. Estefan.
Bernadette Peters was at the performance of The Light in the Piazza that I saw. She seemed to be really enjoying herself. She walked right past me in the doorway of the bathroom and smiled at me. :)
The producer Jeffrey Seller and Robin DeJesus (from Camp) sat a few rows in front of me at Spelling Bee.
Jai Rodriguez was there just to watch Rent when I was there. it was kind of hysteria after the show, when people started to recognize him. It was shortly after the start of the series.
And also, the funny thing was, when I saw Little Shop the next night, apparently the whole Fab Five was there.
too many to mention. but two that stand out: sat next to maggie smith at a performance of amy's view in london. was very hard to keep my eyes on the stage in spite of judi dench. dame maggie had a marvelous time, laughed and applauded her friend heartily. sat in front of jacqueline onassis at The Petition with tandy/cronin. ps. oh i forgot-- katharine hepburn at orpheus descending. she was there with arthur schlesinger and her secretary.
When I was in high school, I saw a pre-Broadway tryout of THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG at the Ahmanson in L.A., and Lucille Ball was in the audience, two rows ahead of me. Watching her baby girl, Lucie Arnaz. That wig was hard to miss...so incredibly RED.
Julianna Margulies was a couple of rows in front of me when I saw Twelve Angry Men. I glanced at her a couple of times because I wasn't sure that it was her so I'm afraid she thought I was staring.
i saw a small Jason Robert Brown concert last fall. my roommate and i were waiting in line to go in and this guy in a baseball cap walked by. my roommate (not i) recognized him as Ethan Hawke. then he walked back by to the end of the line (the people at the door sent him back to wait like the rest of us) and i saw that she was correct. however, once we got inside, he got PRIME seating, and ours were fine. i think he enjoyed the show...after it started, i stopped paying attention...
oh, and he was with Jason 'Wee Man' Acuña.
So long status quo/

When I saw "Jerry Springer the Opera" about 2 years ago, Stephen Sondheim was two rows in front of me. He kept playing with his fingers. I also sat across the aisle from him at "A Little Night Music" in Washington. He was enjoying it. But to top that was this past December, when I went to see "The Producers" in London. I was sitting a few row away from Prince Charles and his soon to be new wife. Mr. Lane called out sick that night so I left and got my money back (an ordeal to say the least).
one of the times i saw rent was evidently right before joey fatone went on. he was in the audience and had at least 3 bodyguards around him at all times. the girls went nuts - talking and pointing all throughout the show. it was so annoying. plus - he had to be rushed out during the curtain call.
when i saw les mis (final month of performances) gwyneth paltrow was there. i couldn't see her - i was in teh mezzanine - but she too had to rush out after the show because people started running after her.
i don't mind the whole celebrity craze in a broadway audience, but when it detracts from teh show and the performers onstage (not to mention the audience who paid to see it), i get so aggravated. people go to see the show, and not joey fatone just sitting for 2 hours. :) but it was fun nonetheless.
i saw hunter, jen and christian at LW on its closing night, and selma blair and her boyfriend (who i know is famous for something, i'm just not sure what) were sitting infront of me at WICKED a few months back.
I also forgot that when I saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Caroline Rhea was there. It was a joke between her and Chip. He was talking to me for a while aobut how she saw the show the night before and came out and signed everyones stuff and he said its my show not urs because they're really good friends. No rumors please, he's married. So, then she came out and said i cant sign tonight but she went to the side where the bvarricades werent and everyone went near her and she signed and took pics. Chip told me shed be backl to talk with my friend and i but she had to leave early, but hes such a great guy.

I saw Alan Rickman and Sigourney (sp?) Weaver at Spamalot. I also saw Colin from Who's Line is it Anyway. Someone else famous was there... but I can't remember right now.
Altar Boyz on July 9th (last full cast show) - Rosario Dawson and Tracie Thoms from the RENT movie...apparently Tracie is friends with Ryan Duncan who plays Juan. The Altar Boyz cast and the girls took a big group photo in the lobby of Dodgers as we were all standing there...lol.
Lil Shop of Horrors - Lance Bass from Nsync sat a few seats down from my friends and I. He came to see fellower Nsync-er Joey Fatone in the show.
Lion King like years ago...my mom sat across the aisle from Bruce Springsteen
when i saw dracula back in november jai rodriquez was there. at good vibrations in janurary the cast of hairspray was in the same row as me. i cant think of her name now but the lady who was in the nanny and beautiful girl was at hairspray once when i was there, and lindsay lohan was there once too.

When I saw Gypsy one night, Kiersten Dunst and Jake Gylenhall were a row in front of me bopping along to the overture.
I sat next to Steven Sondheim at the final performance of Gypsy. Well, there were like 2 people between us, but still. I had to climb over him to get back to my seat before act 2 started and I didn't realize it was him until I was half way in his lap. Before that I had tapped him on his shoulder to say, "Excuse me sir. I need to get to my seat." I couldn't understand why everyone around me was giving me strange looks.
He laughed at me when I made that, "Oh SH*T face" and said to my friend, "I just made Steven Sondheim move so I could get to my seat."

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree. ~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~
There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel. ~Curtains~

My first time at The Boy From Oz, John Travolta and Kelly Preston were there, and at the last TBFO, Joel Grey, Barbara Walters and Matt Damon were there(my mom took photos of him, Barbara, and Hugh just like everyone at the show did). ________________________________________________________________ "Someone blows their nose and you want to keep it." -Ghostbusters
I sat next to the guy who played Bud Bundy on Married with Children when I saw the OBC of RENT. Sat next to Marc Kudisch at Epic Proportions, near Kathy Lee Gifford at Fosse, near Donny Osmond at Aida, and A LOT of people at the final Broadway perfomance of Les Mis.
