Hey everyone! I'm seeing the show in a week and a half (so excited!) and I have a little bit of a seating dilemna...

So I originally got BC 1/3, but after reading that there's some slight obstruction in these seats, I called Telecharge and switched to BC 13/15, which is in the middle of the banquette. However, after reading through here some more, it seems like most of the interaction in the banquettes happens with the center aisle seats, and last time I checked, the center aisle seats in row BD are still available. Would it be worth it/possible to switch seats again to those?

How are 13 and 14 in row B of the rear mezz? Any audience interaction?

I haven't seen these seats mentioned on the thread.  Can anyone tell me which would be preferable?  Looking for interaction if possible, but realize it might not be possible if not on the aisle.  Here are some seats available for days we're looking at:

BE 22/24 (only aisle seats available) and entire row is available

BC - everything to the right but the aise (B21/B23)

BD - everything to the right and left excep the 2 aisle seats on each side

Would love for my theater loving son to have a great experience.  Thanks!

My worry with BE is you'll not have good views for the Prince Bolkonsky stuff, but if you don't care about that (And I don't, personally) you should have good views of all the rest of the action and some interaction. If the best view for everything is a concern over direct interaction, I'd opt for BC on the right, as close to the aisle as you can get. You should get a pirogi/shaker in both those options though it's hard to get a letter if you're not on the aisle

Hi! I've been reading through this thread all day, and I've been very very torn because I've heard great things about a few places.

To summarize what I've heard mostly, for myself and for others:

- The orchestra isn't super desirable, especially the front orchestra. You miss what's going on in the mezzanine. See if there are raised platforms in front of you (I read someone in Row B house left who had a platform in front and could only see 10% of the show

- In general, the mezzanine is better than the orchestra seats. People who walk to the break between front & rear mezzanine remark on how beautiful the view is. From what I gathered, front mezzanine has universally good reviews and a nice all-around view of the whole thing.

- Rear mezzanine also has fans (when I asked Facebook friends, I had many who enjoyed it there). There are some glowing reviews but the audience interaction (egg shakers, periogi, etc) is hit or miss.

- The banquettes have great reviews, especially stage right. There's a lot of interaction happening, most notably when Anatole sits next to BB17 for "It's a Russian custom."

- Table seats - I've only heard good stuff about a few (these will be detailed below) but the good stuff I've heard is GOOD.

- In all honesty I hadn't written much about the taverns - I kind of assumed that I wouldn't be able to afford them.

From there, there are specific spots I've heard good things about:

Banquettes:

- BA10 was described as a near perfect seat that only needed to turn around a few times.

- BA9-11 - someone stated this is roughly where the producer sat for Josh's final performances.

- BA5 - box office manager said that if he had to pick the best seat in the house, this would be it. The user who wrote that got a dumpling and letter.

- BB14 & 12 are right next to the center aisle action with an easy perspective to turn and see what was happening when people came through the top (both seats got letters, one got a dumpling).

- BB17 is confirmed to be the seat where you make room for Anatole to sit next to you for the "Russian custom". If you're a kid, he gives you a high five. If you're a gentleman, he gives you a fist bump. If you're a lady, you get a kiss on the cheek.

- BB seats let you see more upstage action, BE seats give you a better view of the front mezzanine.

- BC 21 & 23 stick out and are elevated and have got several wonderful reviews. Pierre may have his back to you for parts of Dust And Ashes but these seats have a good view with only slight turning needed. People in these seats got dumplings, shakers, and a page of the books.

- BF 20 & 22 were immersive but the negatives were seeing more of the actors' backs and sides. However the pictures I've seen from there look incredible, and BF24 has a lot of Sonya interaction.

Table seats:

- TN (the "pizza slice" seat with special interaction) - slightly left of stage, not crammed in, chairs don't need to swivel for optimal viewing. Seems to consistently get eggs.

- TR is VERY involved - Lucas Steele gives pierogi, mountains of eye contact, letters, during the rave two ensemble members do cocaine - just know there's a lot going on there.

- TO is right next to TR - the person who got this said they got piroshky, an egg shaker, War & peace pages, and a letter. The downside is that you have to swivel your neck a bit to capture the stuff that happens in the 360 degree arc around your table.

- The user Luscious said to avoid TH, TG, TE, TF, TU, TD, TA, TB, TC and specially TC ½ and TH ¾.

I know people had great experiences in the mezzanine and rear mezzanine, but it wasn't as in-the-action as the stage seats. Consistently complete views, though! I know there are small platforms that dancers come around and perhaps one where the opera is staged, but can't seem to see how that figures into the seating.

So, in general: the front and rear mezzanine have consistent views, the orchestra misses out on seeing the great mezzanine action, banquettes get great interaction depending on where you sit. This is all paraphrasing all the reviews I've seen on this thread.

Now I come to my dilemma. This is my first experience with an immersive show. Do I go for a mezzanine seat that will let me see a better "big picture", or a banquette seat that will give me lots of action but will cost me seeing it in the clearest way? If I do mezzanine, how can I also have some taste of the action - and if I get a banquette seat, how can I choose it in such a way that I can have a great view of everything?

Hope this post was helpful!... Also hope you can help me too! I'm probably not gonna be able to see this twice.

Generally for the banquettes, I'd go toward the center aisle and about halfway down so you can turn upstage to see the door and platform area. I've been very happy around BC on both sides in terms of the view. Going toward the center aisle also gives you a better view of the side staircases leading from orchestra to mezzanine. (Too far to either side and you'll be blocked seeing the staircase on the same side by the proscenium arch.)

Table TO is the only time I've gotten everything during a performance (plus Natasha sings a line directly at you).

If front mezz in the first row or along the interior aisles, chances are you'd at least have a cast member sing at you (particularly the roving musicians). If you don't go for onstage and think you're likely only to see it once, front mezz would be my recommendation since you're on top of the action.

That's a good tip re: banquettes so I can get a pretty good view of the door & upstage. I must be making some sort of mistake - either on Telecharge or on my list - because TO and TR are not showing up at all.

Assuming the show continues past next week - if you had the option of TN, TO, and TR seats, which ones would you pick? Or is the difference fairly negligible (both in terms of views and items received)?

TN, always go with the pizza slice if you can...

TN has definite interaction during the "Private and Intimate Life" and should give you a little wider view. TO only has two seats so it's good if you're solo (as I was) or in a pair.

What an excellent summary mermaidzipper! Having seen it twice from the banquettes... I would still choose them over the mezz. I found that I did have a full picture of the show - I don't think I would if I was in one of the tables right on the stage, but the added height of the banquettes I felt like I saw everything. I sat in BB17, but I feel like the BC23 is the better seat. At BB17 we often had extras dancing right in front of us, to the point where sometimes had to lean to see around them to see who was singing.

If I could only see it once, I'd go with one of the banquettes, either BC or a little higher. Best of both worlds in terms of immediacy and full picture.

There is plenty of interaction at all three. The amount of interaction is roughly the same.  I have sat at all three and I received a shaker, pierogi, and book pages at all three.  I got a letter at one .... TN ... and somebody else got a letter at our table at the other two.

For best view, I would probably say TN, it is definitely the one with the least swiveling around.  The seat closest to the center of the stage, the apex/tip of the pizza slice is the best seat.  It is seat 1.  For table TO I like seat 1 better than seat 2.  For TP TQ and TR pick the seats closer to Pierres Salon.

If you are a group of 2 I would say go with TO, group of 3 pick TN and group of 4 pick TP, TQ, or TR.  If you are flying solo I guess I would probably pick TN seat 1.

Why thank you Rainah! (I don't know yet how to tag people, I just started posting on here. That was actually my first post.)

I did all this research but I didn't buy tickets until the day before - guess that says a lot about me. I was somehow lucky enough to get BB10 (my parents were happy to sit in the orchestra so I could be onstage). I took a big big panorama when there was almost no one in the theatre. https://imgur.com/gallery/bDvIW

I had almost every actor sing to me at some point - during Andrey's scene with Pierre, I felt as if he were looking at me, which was VERY intense. Lucas Steele makes the funniest little non-verbal asides to the audience - funny little faces when Natasha was being difficult, etc. It was worth it to see the performers up close. I would recommend sitting where I was because you truly could see EVERYTHING - from the stuff going on in the very back of the orchestra & mezzanine to a close view of Lucas Steele's face as he shaves himself in the mirror on the top platform. You could see every inch of the theatre. The seats behind Pierre's oval got a LOT more interaction and probably saw more of each side of the theatre, but probably required a lot of turning to see the top platform. I never felt my view of the main action was obstructed by dancers (one person said this of BB17, I believe). All in all, a 99.9% perfect seat - the .1% is that I would have moved over to BB14 to receive a letter and the whisper from Anatole during "The Opera", but that's me nit picking.

Hope all this was helpful! I really really recommend these seats. The show was gorgeous.

Took a chance and snagged TN 1 for early Sept. Figure I'll get refunded anyway if they close, but at least I have the seat this way. Fingers crossed!

We ended up getting seats BE 15 and 17.  2nd to last row Banquet seats and we were 2 in from the aisle.  The seats qualified for the discount code on Theatermania so it was a great deal considering the row in front of us was $60 more per seat.  We loved the seats.  There were a couple of times when performers had their backs to us but the fact that so many of them were almost right next to us more than made up for that.  And by being in the next to last row we didn't really have to turn around to see everyone.  If you could get aisle seats that would be better but I wouldn't hesitate to sit here again.  We got a pierogi and shakers but it was just a great experience to feel "part of the show".

Went Saturday night and sat in the Anatole seat BB17.   Best interaction ever!  Can't strongly suggest this seat if you are an Anatole fan.  I was giggling like a little schoolgirl.  Also got a perogie, letter and shaker.  Didn't get a page as they all landed in one big pile in the last two rows.

I'm going to take a bunch of friends to see Great Comet before it closes, and I've got a few options for banquet seats. If I buy seats in Row BD, even numbers, all six of us can sit together. On the odd-numbered side, there are three pairs of banquet seats in various rows. Do people here think that one side of the banquets is radically better than the other, or not really?

Sat in both, liked them both. stage right has more Anatole and Helene, but upper stage left has some really great Sonya stuff. Got to chat to the actress for several minutes before the show started (It was my first time, I didn't even know she was a principal)

Stage right's advantage is not seeing Pierre's back at the piano and I feel like it has a bit more of the action when comparing the two sides, but there's nothing wrong with stage left.

Thanks very much for the quick replies about stage left and stage right of the banquet seats. Super helpful. I'm going to get three separate pairs of seats on stage right. It sounds like these are a touch better, and it will be fun for everyone to have slightly different experiences sitting in various rows.

Looking into sunken tavern TT or TS. There isn't much written here about them. Anyone have experience in them? How is the view? Did you get any letters, shakers, etc?

We sat in TS seats 1 and 2. Good view, some stuff happens literally right above you. We got shakers, letters, and perogis. You'll get a shaker and perogi for sure, it seems like letters largely go to women. My gf got a letter and the guy reached over several men to hand it to her.

Perhaps someone could explain how I would purchase TN or TR seating, I can't seem to find it on Telecharge
