Jeez, when was the last time that the actual cast (leads and ensemble, no understudies) was in for this show?
Probably the first preview.
The performance I attended--July 15, evening--featured all of the leads and most of the ensemble. I think there were only four understudies on, which is comparatively low for this particular show.

June 13
Someone over on ATC mentioned that Jennifer Sanchez went on as Anita last night.
that's weird; she's not even listed as an understudy.

I read this title thinking Ellen Greene was going to replace Cody Green.
(not joking)
She'd probably do a better job that CG.

Wow, Donna Murphy and LaChanze combined have better attendance than this cast.

This is probably an accurate statement...

Has Karen Olivo performed at all since the Tonys?

Yes she has...but I'm sure she has only performed in half of those performances since June 7th (and half is probably being kind).
I saw the show on a random Wednesday night a few weeks ago and Cavenaugh, Scaglione, Olivo, and Green were all in the show.
Congratulations to John! He's from my home state (NC) so our paths have crossed a couple of times. He's a really talented and nice guy!

...the HELL? She doesn't even cover Anita.
I think Greene is a better Riff, but I cannot help but feel bad for Cody.

There is not a star performance in the entire show. I cannot imagine seeing an understudy would be a detriment.
Jennifer Sanchez?! I assume a lot of people were out. That must have been a crazy performance.
Can Jennifer Sanchez dance?
"Has Karen Olivo performed at all since the Tonys?"
Yea, like twice.

She's been in a lot more than twice. Well, MORE than twice.
I really liked Cody, but John Arthur is wonderful! Congrats to him.
I love Matt but he was completely miscast in this role acting, vocally, everything!
I think Jenn Sanchez is amazing, and I think just to be there to see her as Anita would be interesting.
