When I was there the line sitters enforced the no chairs after 6 am. I kept sitting on my backpack/stool and no one said boo. The theater guy (the same one who was there at 6 am and took the picture of the line) even said at 5:30 ish pm that he didn't care what we did as long as we were happy and there was no tents.
Seems like its up to whoever is in charge. Others have posted stories of the theater asking people to put away there chairs but that didn't happen the day I was there.

Good to know that they've made exceptions. I've always wondered about that.
Did anyone do the cancellation line for tonight's show? I'm curious as to how it went, since last week people waited over 24 hours and didn't get tickets, and then had to wait another night until Wednesday evening's show. Hoping that didn't happen again!

They gave out 20 tickets for tonight's show. The last person to get a ticket came in at 11am Tuesday morning. She got SRO. Not sure of the ticket breakdown though.

Wow that's awesome! They've had so many tickets available for each show recently, fingers crossed it keeps up. Thanks!
I apologize for my questions. I probably could do a search; with so many Hamilton threads it is like a needle in a haystack.
If I arrive around 4pm for a Saturday evening (I mean 4 hours before the show) , is that a waste of time? I guess my question is, what number do I have to be in line to know that my chances are zero? I understand the answer depends on the tickets available, but I wonder if there is an estimate as to where joining the line would be pointless.
Thanks!

If lining up for cancellation, do you actually have to say what kind of tickets you are waiting for or can you grab any tickets that gets passed by those in front of you? Let's say I'm looking for 2 tickets, either the standard or premium, if those people ahead of me passes a single standard, can i wait for a single non/premium as well or can I only grab doubles if looking for 2 seats?

Honestly, probably. Saturdays seem to have a lot of tickets because there are two shows, but at 4pm you will have missed the matinee and you might even be running in to people already in line to wait for Sunday. 20 tickets is the most I've heard about giving out. It seems to average about 8-12 but it varies wildly. But yeah 4 hours wait time would give you almost no chance in my experience.

People seem to be declaring whether they want premium or not but that's a line thing, not a theater thing. Are you asking if you can grab a single standard, and then stay in line to wait for another ticket?
That's helpful schubox, thanks! I'll walk by and if I count more than 15 people I'll pass.
What happens with the hundreds of resale tickets that are on sale at Tickemaster for thousands of dollars? Do they actually get sold at some point? That is insane. From decades of going to Broadway shows, I don't remember this kind of craziness for a ticket. And I went through Rent and Producers.

If you look at Stubhub or TM resale right before showtime almost all of them are gone. People are snapping them up. If they're unsold the seats just sit empty

From my understanding all of the new rules were put there to do two things. Reduce the clutter of the line, and reduce the wait times. The not after 6am there is just the rule because that's when people are at the box office working. Technically you're never supposed to have chairs.
If anyone here is planning to do the cancellation line at any time in June, July, or the first half of August and was only planning to get one ticket, I will happily pay for your ticket if you get me one as well! I want to see this show more than anything but unfortunately with the hours I work I am unable to wait in the line myself. Please message me to work out details if you're interested.

In a way yes. I mean, I'm up to getting standard or premium tickets so I'm assumming that I have the prerogative to buy anything that gets passed by those in front as long as I get my 2 tickets. If 2 premiums gets passed, I could buy them though people behind me wants the same or if 2 standards get available, I should also be able to but them right? I'm not stuck to buying standard tickets OR premium.
Or if a single is made available, I could buy it and wait for another ticket to be available, either a full single or breaking doubles.

I'm not sure on all these. For premiums, some people don't want to shell out the money so they get passed over, but they still go from front to back. I don't think you'll be able to buy one, then wait and buy another, especially if you are by yourself. Normally when you buy your seat they take you in to the box office and then you can't go back to the line. And I would be shocked if you bought a single and then they let you break up a pair. If you're standing with someone else you could buy a single and that person could stay in line to try to buy another single.
Like I said, I could be wrong, someone may have better info than me.
Quick update for Tuesday cancellation line. First arrival was 1 am on Sunday morning with two teens looking for 4 tickets. Next up at 3 pm on Monday were two line sitters, never clear how many tickets they were after, but obviously premiums. Next arrival was me at 9 pm on Monday for a pair, followed by two women at 3:30am, for singles then a single women at 5ish, followed by several couples in the 6 to 7am time Frame. Two premium tickets were offered about 2:30, snapped up by the line sitters, who the left. They started calling for pairs at about 6:10, so the teens got one set in the front row, followed a few minutes later for another set in Row J. Then after about a 15 minute break we were called for a pair, also in Row J, then the two women were called, again in J....the third single women then got a single in a "chair", followed by several couple that got row H....later report seems to indicate that several others then got in for standing room. All who overnighted acknowledged that it was difficult. Hard ground, very noisy, sun comes up early, etc. Great show and good luck to all who follow.....
Hi, l want to get 1 premium ticket for either show on Saturday 6/4. Is buying just one allowed and is 6am too late to arrive? I can't get there earlier. Thanks for any information.
I noticed the chairs when I saw the show. What is that about? What ticket type/ row do they consider that and how are they usually sold? I was curious about it.

We've sat on those chairs that look like dining chairs. We were in Row H. I think those are more like the handicap section. We were sitting next to someone in a wheelchair. I guess they give it out if there is no request for handicap access sitting.
We really liked those seats! It's so high that it felt like sitting on booster seats. You don't have to worry about the people infront blocking your view. And although they're not in the middle of the theater, you could still easily see the whole stage...you could actualy see the entire theater. :)

2 row M orchestra were $399 5 minutes ago and just dropped to $199 at curtain time. Is it uncharitable to enjoy the thought of scalpers eating some tickets?

It's pretty crazy. Tickets haven't dropped like this in a long time. Wonder if it's just a weird Wednesday thing or (hopefully) a trend
